Land taken for a further Portion of the Waingongoro
Section, on the Foxton-New Plymouth Railway

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by a Proclamation issued under the
authority of sections one hundred and twenty-
two, one hundred and twenty-three, and one hundred
and twenty-four of "The Public Works Act, 1876,"
the middle line of a further portion of the line of rail-
way from Foxton to New Plymouth (further portion,
Waingongoro Section), being one of the railways
specified in "The Public Works Act, 1879," was de-
fined: And whereas pursuant to the one hundred and
twenty-fifth section of "The Public Works Act, 1876,"
the Minister for Public Works has caused to be
made and, on the third day of October, one thousand
eight hundred and eighty-one, to be deposited in the
office of the Registrar of the Supreme Court at New
Plymouth, in the Provincial District of Taranaki, such
maps and plans as were necessary to explain the said
further portion of the said line of railway and the land
through which the same passes, and such maps and
plans were referred to in such Proclamation as afore-
said: And whereas "The Public Works Act, 1879,"
enacts that such of the railways mentioned therein as
are unfinished may be completed under the provisions
of "The Public Works Act, 1876," "The Public
Works Act 1876 Amendment Act, 1878," and "The
Public Works Act, 1879:" And whereas the land
described in the Schedule hereto is required to be
taken for the said further portion of the said line of
railway:
Now, therefore, I, James Prendergast, the Admin-
istrator of the Government of the Colony of New
Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred by the sixth section of "The Public Works
Act 1876 Amendment Act, 1878," and of every power
and authority in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and
declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto
ERRATUM.-In New Zealand Gazette No. 76, of the 29th September, 1881, page 1220, Registrars of Electors appointed,
for "Richard Robert Jones," read "Robert Richard Jones."

is taken for the said further portion of the said line
of railway.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that piece or parcel of land containing by ad-
measurement 6 acres, more or less, situate in the
Ngaire Survey District, Provincial District of Tara-
naki, being portion of Section No. 41, Block X., of
above district, commencing at the north-eastern
corner of said section. Bounded as follows: South-
easterly by railway reserve, 1600 links; South-
westerly, 90 links; generally Westerly and Northerly
by the left bank of the Mangawhero River to com-
mencing point: as the same is more particularly
delineated upon the plan marked P.W.D. 8620,
deposited in the office of the Minister for Public
Works, at Wellington, in the Provincial District of
Wellington.
Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir
James Prendergast, Chief Justice, the
Administrator of the Government of Her
Majesty's Colony of New Zealand; and
issued under the Seal of the said Colony,
at the Government House, at Wellington,
this fifteenth day of October, in the year
of our Lord one thousand eight hundred
and eighty-one.
