Declaring Roads in Cape and Opunake Survey District, Taranaki, to be Highways.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power vested in
me by "The West Coast Settlement (North
Island) Act, 1880," and of all other powers and
authorities in this behalf enabling me, I, James
Prendergast, Administrator of the Government of
the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby give notice
that each of the several roads defined and described
in this notice is hereby declared to be a highway,
that is to say,-

All that road-line, of the uniform width of 100
links, extending from the north-east corner of Sec-
tion No. 24 of Block VIII., Cape Survey District
(Warea Village Settlement), to the south-west
corner of Section No. 8, Block IV., Cape Survey
District, and passing between Sections Nos. 24, 23,
22, 20, 17, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, and 1 of Block VIII. of said
district, and Sections Nos. 7, 6, 4, 2, 14, 13, 12, 11,
10, 9, and 8, of Block IV. of said district. -
All that road-line, of the uniform width of 100
links, extending from the north-west corner of Sec-
tion No. 22 of Block VIII., Cape Survey District
(Warea Village Settlement), to the south-east corner
of Section No. 60, of said settlement, and passing
between Sections Nos. 22, 26, 29, 33, 40, 46, 49, 52,
55, 57, 59, and 61, and Sections Nos. 20, 21, 25, 28,
32, 39, 45, 48, 51, 54, 56, 58, and 60 of said settle-
ment. -
All that road, of the uniform width of 100
links, extending from the south-east corner of Sec-
tion No. 37 of Block VIII., Cape Survey District
(Warea Village Settlement), to the south-west corner
of Section 10 of said settlement, and passing between
Sections Nos. 43, 42, 41, 40, 39, 38, 19, 11, and Sec-
tions Nos. 37, 35, 34, 33, 32, 31, 18, and 10 of said
settlement. -
All that road-line, of the uniform width of 100
links, extending from the south-east corner of Sec-
tion No. 61, Block VIII., Cape Survey District
(Warea Village Settlement), to the south-west corner
of Section No. 16 of said block, and passing between
Sections Nos. 63, 62, and Sections Nos. 61, 60, and
16 of said block. -
All that road-line, of the uniform width of 100
links, extending from the north-west corner of Sec-
tion No. 8 of Block VIII., Cape Survey District
(Warea Village Settlement), to the south-west corner
of Section No. 16 of said settlement, and passing be-
tween Sections Nos. 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16,
and Sections Nos. 7, 71, and 72 of said Block VIII. -
All that road-line, of the uniform width of 100
links, extending from the south-east corner of Sec-
tion No. 65 of Block VIII., Cape Survey District, to
the south-west corner of Section No. 66 of said block,
and passing between Sections Nos. 80, 79, 78, 76, 75,
and Sections Nos. 65, 74, 73, 70, 69, 68, 67, and 66 of
said block. -
All that road-line, of the uniform width of 100
links—excepting at the southern boundary of Section
No. 84 of Block VIII., Cape Survey District, where
for a short distance it is about 150 links wide—
extending from the most southerly corner of Section
No. 91 of said block to the south-west corner of Sec-
tion No. 84 of said block, and passing between
Sections Nos. 23, 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1, of Block XII., Cape
Survey District, and Sections Nos. 91, 90, 87, 86, 85,
and 84, of Block VIII. of said district. -
All that road-line, of the uniform width of 100
links, extending from the north-east corner of Section
No. 34 of Block XII., Cape Survey District, to the
north-west corner of Section No. 16 of said block,
passing between Sections Nos. 34, 32, 30, 28, 22, 21,
20, 19, 18, 17, 16, and Sections Nos. 23, 15, 14, 13,
12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, and 1 of said block, and known
as the Cape Road. -
All that road-line, of the uniform width of 100
links, extending from the north-east corner of Section
No. 36 of Block XII., Cape Survey District, to the
most southerly corner of Section No. 26 of said
block, passing between Sections Nos. 36, 39, 56, 38,
37, and Sections Nos. 34, 35, 33, 30, 31, 29, 27, and
26 of said Block XII., and known as the Parihaka
Road. -
All that road-line, of the uniform width of 100
links, excepting at the southern boundary of Section
