A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the lands described in the Schedule
hereto have been purchased out of the sums
authorized under "The Immigration and Public
Works Act, 1870," and Acts amending the same, to
be issued and expended in the purchase of lands in
the North Island of New Zealand, and it is expedient
that the said lands should be declared to be waste
lands of the Crown:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur Hamilton Gordon, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, being
satisfied that the lands described in the Schedule
hereto are free from Native claims and all difficulties
in connection therewith, in pursuance and exercise
of the power and authority vested in me by the
seventeenth section of "The Waste Lands Adminis-
tration Act, 1876," and the twenty-eighth section of
"The Land Act 1877 Amendment Act, 1879," and
all other authorities enabling me in that behalf, do
hereby proclaim and declare the said lands to be
waste lands of the Crown, subject, except as in the
first-mentioned Act provided, to be sold and dealt
with according to the provisions of the laws regulat-
ing the sale and disposal of waste lands of the Crown
in force in the Land Districts of Hawke's Bay and
Wellington.
SCHEDULE.
UMUPAPAMARO.
ALL that parcel of land in the District of Taupo, in
the Provincial District of Hawke's Bay, known by
the name of Umupapamaro, containing by admeasure-
ment 705 acres 3 roods 20 perches, more or less.
Bounded towards the North by Runanga No. 2
Block, 2640 links; towards the South-east by Wai-
kare Mohaka Block, 38129 links; towards the South-
west by Wharetoto Block, 2227 links; and towards
the North-west by Wharetoto Block aforesaid, 35417
links.
MAHARAHARA.
All that parcel of land in the Seventy-Mile Bush,
in the Waipawa and Manawatu Counties, and partly
in the Provincial District of Hawke's Bay, and partly
in the Provincial District of Wellington, known by
the name of Maharahara, containing by admeasure-
ment 26,383 acres, more or less, namely, 20,953
acres in the Provincial District of Hawke's Bay, and
5,430 acres in the Provincial District of Wellington.
Bounded towards the North-east by the Tamaki

ALL that parcel of land in the District of Wairarapa,
in the Provincial District of Wellington, excepted
from the original sale to the Crown of the Mangahao
No. 2 Block, as a reserve for Huru te Hiaro,
containing by estimation 350 acres, more or less.
Bounded towards the West and North by other
portions of the said Mangahao No. 2 Block; and
towards the East and South by the Mangahao River.
WAIHOANGA No. 1B.
All that parcel of land at Otaki, in the District of
Otaki, in the Provincial District of Wellington,
known by the name of Waihoanga No. 1B, con-
taining by admeasurement 480 acres and 2 perches.
