District constituted under "The Registration of
Births and Deaths Act, 1875."

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and au-
thority vested in the Governor by "The Regis-
tration of Births and Deaths Act, 1875," I, Arthur
Hamilton Gordon, the Governor of the Colony of
New Zealand, do hereby abolish the existing regis-
tration districts known as the Gabriel's and Blue
Spur Districts; and do proclaim and declare that the
territory heretofore comprised within the said dis-
tricts is hereby included in one registration district,
the name whereof shall be the Gabriel's District, and
the boundaries whereof shall be coterminous with
the boundaries of the marriage district bearing the
same name as is set forth in a Proclamation of even
dats herewith, made under the provisions of "The
Marriage Act, 1880:"

And I hereby declare that this Proclamation shall
come into operation on the first day of September,
in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred
and eighty-one.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the
Honorable Arthur Hamilton Gordon,
Knight Grand Cross of the Most Dis-
tinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George, Her Majesty's High
Commissioner for the Western Pacific,
Governor and Commander-in-Chief in
and over Her Majesty's Colony of New
Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-
Admiral of the same; and issued under
the Seal of the said Colony, at the
Government House, at Wellington, this
twenty-second day of August, in the year
of our Lord one thousand eight hundred

Lands declared to be Waste Lands of the Crown.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the lands described in the Schedule
hereto have been purchased out of the sums
authorized under "The Immigration and Public
Works Act, 1870," and Acts amending the same, to
be issued and expended in the purchase of lands in
the North Island of New Zealand, and it is expedient
that the said lands should be declared to be waste
lands of the Crown:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur Hamilton Gordon, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, being
satisfied that the lands described in the Schedule
hereto are free from Native claims and all difficulties
in connection therewith, in pursuance and exercise
of the power and authority vested in me by the
seventeenth section of "The Waste Lands Adminis-
tration Act, 1876," and the twenty-eighth section of
"The Land Act 1877 Amendment Act, 1879," and
all other authorities enabling me in that behalf, do
hereby proclaim and declare the said lands to be

waste lands of the Crown, subject, except as in the
first-mentioned Act provided, to be sold and dealt
with according to the provisions of the laws regulat-
ing the sale and disposal of waste lands of the Crown
in force in the Land District of Auckland.

SCHEDULE.

ORUANUI MIDDLE.
ALL that parcel of land in the District of Taupo, in
the Provincial District of Auckland, known by the
name of Oruanui Middle, containing by admeasure-
ment 10,000 acres, more or less. Bounded towards
the North-east by other portion of Oruanui Block,
28410 links; towards the South-east by Wairakei
Block and lines, 34255 links; towards the South-west
by Oruanui South Block, 31606 links; and towards
the North-west by lines, 32845 links: excepting out
of the hereinbefore described area a reserve of 50
acres to be Crown-granted to Perenara te Papanui.

ORUANUI No. 3.
All that parcel of land in the District of Taupo, in
the Provincial District of Auckland, known by the
name of Oruanui No. 3, containing by admeasure-
ment 146 acres 2 roods, more or less. Bounded
towards the North-east and East by other portion of
Oruanui Block, 9631 links; towards the South-east
by other portion of Oruanui Block aforesaid, 3542
links; and towards the South-west by lines, 6192
links.

ORUANUI No. 4.
All that parcel of land in the District of Taupo, in
the Provincial District of Auckland, known by the
name of Oruanui No. 4, containing by admeasure-
ment 51 acres 3 roods 5 perches, more or less.
Bounded towards the North-east by other portion of
Oruanui Block, 3131 links; towards the South-east
by a road-line and other portion of Oruanui Block
aforesaid, 2281 links; towards the South by other
portion of Oruanui Block aforesaid, 2661 links; and
towards the West by other portion of Oruanui Block
aforesaid, 2187 links.

TAUHARA MIDDLE No. 3.
All that parcel of land in the District of Taupo, in
the Provincial District of Auckland, known by the
name of Tauhara Middle No. 3, containing by ad-
measurement 13,250 acres, more or less. Bounded
towards the North-east by the Kaingaroa No. 2
Block, 35100 links; towards the East by the Rangi-
taiki River; towards the South-east by the Wharetoto
Block, 4093 links; towards the South-west by the
Taupo and Napier Road; and towards the North-west
by the Tauhara Middle Block, 1600 links and 12999
links.

HANGIHANGI.
All that parcel of land in the District of Taupo,
in the Provincial District of Auckland, known by the
name of Hangihangi, containing by admeasurement
141 acres, more or less. Bounded towards the North-
east by lines, 5626 links; towards the East by a line,
1400 links; towards the South by the Oruanui Block,
5682 links; and towards the West by lines, 3625
links.

POKURU NORTH.
All that parcel of land in the District of Taupo, in
the Provincial District of Auckland, known by the
name of Pokuru North, containing by admeasure-
ment 252 acres, more or less. Bounded towards the
North by Te Hukui Block and lines, 5769 links;
towards the East by a line, 4681 links; towards the
South by Pokuru South Block, 4949 links; and
towards the West by lines, 4877 links.

AORANGI WAI No. 1.
All that parcel of land in the District of Poverty
Bay, in the Provincial District of Auckland, known by
