AVING considered the application of Te Manihera Maaka and others in this behalf, dated the 20th
day of June, 1881, and received by me on the 5th day of July, 1881, for the rehearing of a claim to
the block of land called Okurupeti, in the District of Wairarapa, which was decided by the Native Land
Court at Masterton on the 6th day of June, 1881, I hereby, in pursuance of the authority given to me by
"The Native Land Court Act, 1880," dismiss the same.

NOTICE.

HEREAS in pursuance of "The Taonui-Ahuaturanga Land Act, 1880," the Governor has requested
the Native Land Court to investigate the titles of all Natives who at the present time may be
entitled to any portion of the lands described in the Schedule to the aforesaid Act and hereto appended, as
if the said lands had never been conveyed to Her Majesty, and the Native title thereto had never been
extinguished:
Now, therefore I, Francis Dart Fenton, Chief Judge of the Native Land Court, do hereby give notice
that a sitting of the said Court will be held at Waipawa, Hawke's Bay, on the 20th day of September,
1881, for the purpose of hearing and determining all such titles as aforesaid.

SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land containing by admeasurement 3,070 acres more or less, being portion of the
Ahuaturanga or Upper Manawatu Block, in the Wellington Provincial District. Bounded towards the
North-west by a right line from Te Rua Puha towards Waikuku, till it strikes the Taonui River; towards
the South-east by that river and by lines 3200 links and 5719 links; and towards the North-east by a public
road about 5200 links, to Te Rua Puha, the commencing point. Excepting a public road three chains wide,
and another public road one chain wide, which intersect the said parcel of land, as the same is more par-
ticularly delineated upon the plan deposited in the Survey Office of the Provincial District of Wellington
(marked A), and authenticated by the signature of the Chief Surveyor.
