RULES FOR THE MANAGEMENT OF THE FEILDING
GEMETERY, COUNTY OF MANAWATU.

  1. A portion of the cemetery reserve shall be
    divided into two classes, viz., Class A and Class B.
    Class A will be ground of which the perpetual and
    exclusive right may be acquired, with the privilege of
    enclosing it and erecting headstones or other monu-
    ments thereon. A portion of the ground of this
    class, when purchased, will be marked off into lots of
    10 x 5 feet, which will be sold for 10s. each; or, if
    four or more adjoining lots be bought, for 7s. 6d.
    each.

Class B will be ground set aside for the interment
of such persons as are not purchasers of, and have
not acquired a right to, private ground. The lots in
this class will be 8 x 4 feet, and cannot be selected,
but must be taken as they come, under the direction
and written authority of the Trustees. These lots
may be fenced subject to the approval of the
Trustees, provided that all fences are kept within
the pegs and not over 3 feet 6 inches high.

  1. Any purchaser of private ground in which no
    interment has taken place may transfer his or her
    interest in it to any other person upon payment of a
    transfer fee of 2s. 6d. to the Treasurer of the Board.

  2. All graves must be 6 feet deep, and a charge of
    2s. 6d. per foot shall be made for every foot more
    than 6 feet.

  3. No grave shall be opened for any new inter-
    ment sooner than after the expiry of seven years
    from the last interment.

  4. All monuments, graves, and gravestones must
    be kept in proper order by and at the expense of the
    owners.

  5. The Treasurer shall keep a book in which he
    shall enter from time to time the number of the lot
    sold, name of purchaser, and date of sale. He shall
    also receive the purchase-money and give a receipt
    for it of the following form:-" Feilding Cemetery.-
    Received from A.B., of
    , the sum of
    for Lot No. , Class , on the plan of the cemetery
    in the custody of the Trustees, which lot is to be
    held for the purposes of burial only, and subject to
    the rules for the management of the cemetery."

  6. In all cases of intended interment the person
    having the management or control of it shall apply
    to the Treasurer for a warrant for such interment,
    which will be issued on payment of the following
    fees:-

  1. Orders for interment must be given to the
    sexton at least twenty-four hours before the hour
    fixed for the funeral, otherwise an extra charge of
    5s. will be made.

  2. No one but the person authorized by the
    Trustees will be permitted to dig graves in the
    cemetery, and then only on receipt of the warrant
    referred to in rule 7.

  3. Funerals will be allowed only between the
    hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

  4. The sexton will prevent the entrance into the
    cemetery of any horse, cattle, sheep, or swine, and
    turn out or impound any that may be found tres-
    passing therein.

  5. The Treasurer shall keep a record of all burials,
    which shall be open for inspection on paying a fee of
    1s. 6d. for each inspection. A copy of the register
    shall be 1s.

  6. The Trustees reserve the right of altering or
    amending the preceding charges and regulations.

TENDERS FOR MANUFACTURE OF PORTLAND
CEMENT.

Public Works Office,
Wellington, 10th November, 1880.

WRITTEN tenders will be received at this office
up to noon on the 31st March, 1881, from per-
sons who are willing to contract for the supply and
delivery of One Hundred Tons of Portland Cement.
The cement to be manufactured in the Colony of
New Zealand, and to be delivered at any of the
under-mentioned places, viz., Auckland, Wellington,
Christchurch, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Port Chalmers,
or Invercargill. Tenders to be addressed to the
Minister for Public Works, and to be marked outside
"Tender for Supply of 100 Tons of Portland Cement."
Specifications and conditions may be seen at the
Public Works Offices, Auckland, Wellington, Christ-
church, Dunedin, and Invercargill. The lowest or
any tender will not necessarily be accepted.
