Mining Notices.
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT A WATER- RACE.
Waipori, 16th June, 1881.
To the Warden at Lawrence.
I HEREBY give notice that I intend to construct a
Water-race to divert and use water for mining
purposes, commencing at a point at the bottom of
Slater's Gully, and about one mile below the Waipori
Township, on the north side of the Waipori River,
and terminating at the Waipori River about half a
mile below the Maiden City Gorge.
The length of such race is about one mile or there-
abouts, and its intended course is east and west; the
mean depth of such race is 2 feet, and the mean
breadth is 3 feet; and it is proposed to divert one
Government-head of water.

Any person objecting to the granting of this appli-
cation must lodge his objection in writing at the
Warden's Office at Lawrence within fourteen clear
days from the date hereof.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT A WATER- RACE.
Hokitika District, 20th June, 1881.
To the Mining Registrar, Hokitika.
WE hereby give notice that it is intended to con-
struct a Water-race, and divert water for
mining purposes, commencing at a point at Granite
Creek, about three miles south from Arahura River,
thence connecting with the east end of the Caledonian
Race, continuing in the said race to a point at Dough
Town, from thence to Humphrey's and McDonnell's
Gullies.
The length of such race is about eight miles or
thereabouts, and its intended course is west; the
mean depth of such race is 4 feet, and the mean
breadth is 3 feet; and it is proposed to divert
twenty-five Government-heads of water.
Dated at Hokitika, this 20th day of June, 1881.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Directors of the
above Company, at a meeting held on Wednes-
day, the 29th day of June, 1881, decided that a Call
be made of 2d. per share, and that the same is pay-
able at the registered office of the Company, Ballarat
Street, Queenstown, on Wednesday, the 13th day of
July, 1881.

register the Maori Win Gold-Mining Company
as a Limited Company under the provisions of "The
Mining Companies Act, 1872."
- The name of the Company is to be the Maori Win Gold-
Mining Company (Limited)." - The place of operations is at the Tiki, Coromandel, in the
Provincial District of Auckland. - The registered office of the Company will be situated at
Coromandel, in the Provincial District of Auckland. - The nominal capital of the Company is thirteen thousand
pounds. - The number of shares subscribed for is thirteen thousand,
being not less than two-thirds of the entire number of shares in
the Company. - The number of paid-up shares is two hundred and seventy-
one. - The amount already paid up is two hundred and seventy-
one pounds. - The name of the Manager is Edward Lister Green.
- The names, addresses, and occupations of the shareholders,
and the number of shares held by each at this date, are as
