IT is hereby publicly notified that the Arahura
Road Board was, on the 11th May, 1881, dis-
solved, and the Road District merged into the County
of Westland.

APPLICATION FOR PATENT.

PATENT for an Improvement in the Consumption
of Fuel and of the Gases therefrom, and for the
Prevention of Smoke, and in the Apparatus or
Mechanism employed therefor.

GEORGE FRASER, of Auckland, Engineer, has
deposited at this office a specification of the said
invention, and I have appointed Friday, the 5th day
of August next, at 11 o'clock in the forenoon, at
this office, to hear the said application and all objec-
tions thereto; and I require all persons having an
interest in opposing the grant of such Letters Patent
to leave, on or before the 1st day of August next, at
this office, particulars in writing of their objections
to the said application, otherwise they will be pre-
cluded from urging the same.
