Declaring "Regulation of Local Elections Act, 1876,"
in force within the Courtenay Road District, County
of Selwyn.

A PROCLAMATION.
BY virtue of the power vested in me by the third
section of "The Regulation of Local Elections
Act, 1876," I, Arthur Hamilton Gordon, the Governor
of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim
and declare that the said Act shall come into force,
in respect of all the elective offices of the Courtenay
Road Board, within the district known as the
Courtenay Road District.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the
Honorable Arthur Hamilton Gordon,
Knight Grand Cross of the Most Dis-
tinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George, Her Majesty's High
Commissioner for the Western Pacific,
Governor and Commander-in-Chief in
and over Her Majesty's Colony of New
Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-
Admiral of the same; and issued under
the Seal of the said Colony, at the
Government House, at Wellington, this
thirteenth day of June, in the year of
our Lord one thousand eight hundred
and eighty-one.

"The Dog Registration Act, 1880," extended to Whai-
ngaroa, Town of Raglan, and Karioi Highway
Districts, County of Raglan.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by a Proclamation under "The Dog
Registration Act, 1880," dated the twenty-fifth
day of March, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-
one, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the
ERRATUM. In New Zealand Gazette No. 42, of the 2nd June, 1881, in list of Justices of the Peace appointed, for
"John Hitchens Bamfield," read "John Hichens Bamfield;" for "Julius Mendelsohn," read "Julius Mendelson;"
and for "Edward Morrah," read "Edward Wakefield Morrah."
thirty-first day of March, one thousand eight hundred
and eighty-one, the County of Raglan was excluded
from the operation of the said Act: And whereas it
is expedient to extend the operation of the said Act
to certain highway districts in the said County of
Raglan :
Now, therefore I, Arthur Hamilton Gordon, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise
of the powers vested in me by the said "Dog Regis-
tration Act, 1880," do hereby declare that the opera-
tion of the said Act is extended to the Karioi High-
way District, the Town of Raglan Highway District,
and the Whaingaroa Highway District, and that such
operation shall take effect from the date hereof.

WHEREAS by "The Municipal Corporations Act,
1876," it is, amongst other things, enacted
that the Governor may at any time, upon the petition
of the Mayor and Council of a borough, by a Pro-
clamation publicly notified, alter the boundaries of
such borough so as to include therein any part of the
