LAND-TAKING FOR ROAD.

NOTICE is hereby given that the plan of a road
in the Patoka District, through Sections 16, 17,
and 26 on the Government map of the Pakiaka, as
delineated on the plan and described in the Schedule
below, is deposited at the Okawa Road Board Office,
schoolhouse, Pukitapu, for inspection at all reason-
able hours.

All persons affected by the taking of the said land
are hereby notified that they must set forth in writing
and send any well-grounded objection (not being
claims for which due compensation is provided under
Part III. of "The Public Works Act, 1876") to the
taking of such land within forty days from the 21st
May, 1881, to the Chairman of the Okawa Road
Board.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that piece or parcel of land situate in the
Patoka District, being part of Crown Grant No.
2337, and containing by measurement 2 acres 3
roods 25 perches, more or less, as delineated on
the plan. Bounded on the East by part of Section
17, 8137 and 1677.1 links; towards the South-east
by other part of Section 17, 513.3 links; towards the
North-west by part of Section 16, 142.8 links;
towards the West by other part of Section 17, 379.7,
1642.9, and 791.3 links; and towards the North by
part of Section 26, 100.3 links.

I, COLIN MCKENZIE GORDON, Sheriff of the Dis-
trict of Otago, hereby give notice that, under a
writ of fieri facias duly issued out of the Supreme
Court of New Zealand, Otago and Southland Dis-
trict, at Dunedin, in an action, No. 66, wherein JOHN
BLYTH is Plaintiff, and JOHN BLYTH, the younger, is
Defendant, I have taken in execution, at the suit of the
said John Blyth, the Execution Creditor, the estate
and interest of the said John Blyth, the younger,
being an undivided moiety as joint tenant in fee-
simple in all that piece of land situated in the Town-
ship of Roslyn, containing by admeasurement one
rood, be the same a little more or less, being Allot-
ment numbered thirteen, Block two, on the plan of
the said township deposited in the Lands Registry
Office at Dunedin; bounded towards the West-
north-west by Michie Street, one hundred links;
towards the North-north-east by Allotment num-
bered fourteen, two hundred and fifty links;
towards the East-south-east by Allotment numbered
four, one hundred links; and towards the South-
south-west by Allotment numbered twelve, two
hundred and fifty links; as the same is more par-
ticularly described and set forth in the certificate of
title thereof, Register-book, Volume xxv., folio 274.

And I hereby also give notice that I intend to
cause the said estate and interest of the said John
Blyth, the younger, to be sold at the auction-rooms
of Messrs Bastings, Leary, and Co., in High Street,
Dunedin, aforesaid, on Saturday, the second day of
July, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-one, at
two o'clock in the afternoon, unless the debt, interest,
and costs payable by virtue of the said judgment be
sooner paid.
