Land set apart on Deferred Payments in Wellington.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the fifty-third section of "The
Land Act, 1877," it is enacted that the
Governor, by Proclamation in the Gazette, may from
time to time set apart out of any suburban or rural
lands such blocks or allotments of land as he shall
think fit, and set the same aside for sale on deferred
payments, and in such Proclamation may fix a day
on which the land shall be open for application; and
that he may also in like manner set apart for sale on
deferred payments such blocks or allotments as may
be recommended by any Land Board, and may also
from time to time alter, amend, or revoke any such
Proclamation:
And whereas the Land Board of Wellington did,
on the second day of June, one thousand eight
hundred and eighty-one, pass a resolution recom-
mending that the land described in the Schedule
hereto annexed should be set apart for sale on
deferred payments:
And whereas it is expedient to give effect to the
aforesaid recommendation, and to set apart the said
land accordingly:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur Hamilton Gordon, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance
and exercise of the power and authority vested in
me by the above-named Act, do hereby proclaim
and declare that the land described in the Schedule
hereto is set apart for sale on deferred payments;
and that Tuesday, the twelfth day of July, one
thousand eight hundred and eighty-one, shall be the
day on which the said land shall be open for applica-
tion at the Land Office at Wellington, in allotments
as surveyed and marked on the selection map in that
office.
In pursuance of section four of "The Land Act
1877 Amendment Act, 1879," I do hereby declare
that subsection four of the sixty-third section of
"The Land Act, 1877," shall not apply to any of the
lands described in the Schedule hereto.
And, further, in pursuance of the fifth section of
"The Land Act 1877 Amendment Act, 1879," I do
hereby fix the price at which the land so described
shall be sold to be the price set opposite each allot-
ment in the Schedule hereto.

Land temporarily reserved in the Land District of
Auckland.
ARTHUR GORDON, Governor.
WHEREAS by the one hundred and forty-fourth
section of "The Land Act, 1877," it is enacted
that the Governor may from time to time, either by
general or particular description, and whether the
same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale
temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be
then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands
which, in his opinion, are required for any of the
purposes in the said section mentioned:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur Hamilton Gordon, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise
and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested
in me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve
from sale the land in the Land District of Auckland
described in the Schedule hereunder written, for
the purpose in the said Schedule specified.
SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND.
ALL that piece or parcel of land situated in Block
XVI., Tangihua Survey District; Block XII., Rua-
kaka Survey District; Block IV., Matakohe Survey
District; and Blocks I. and IV., Waipu Survey Dis-
trict, in the Provincial District of Auckland, and
containing by admeasurement 7,225 acres, more or
less. Bounded-Generally towards the North-east
by Lots Nos. 87 and 103, Parish of Ruarangi,
2370 and 8600 links respectively; thence towards
the East by a line, 25800 links; thence towards the
North by a line, 21000 links; thence again towards
the East by a line, 5000 links; thence towards the
South-west by Lot No. 203, Parish of Waipu, 1100
links; thence generally towards the South-east by
Lots Nos. 203 and 241, Parish of Waipu afore-
said, 8450 links; thence towards the North-east and
North-west by Lot No. 204 of the Parish of Waipu
aforesaid, 5056 and 1950 links respectively; thence
again towards the North-east and North-west by a
homestead selection in the occupation of J. Suther-
land, 2200 and 1400 links respectively; thence again
towards the East by a line, 6900 links; thence gene-
rally towards the South by a public road, 6450 links;
thence towards the East by Lot No. 11.6, Parish of
Wairau, 5700 links; thence towards the South and
South-east by Lots Nos. 117 and 115, Parish of
Wairau aforesaid, 1700 and 4100 links respectively;
thence towards the South-west by a public road,
4800 links; thence towards the North-west, South-
west, and South-east by Lot No. 110 of the Parish of
Wairau aforesaid, 4660, 2100, and 4780 links re-
spectively; thence towards the South-west by a
public road, 5530 links; thence towards the North-
west by a line, 1300 links; thence generally towards
