Public Cemetery, in conjunction with the other
persons appointed by warrant under the hand of His
Excellency the Governor on the sixteenth day of
September, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-
eight.

Land temporarily reserved in the Land Districts of
Auckland, Marlborough, and Westland.

ARTHUR GORDON, Governor.

WHEREAS by the one hundred and forty-fourth
section of "The Land Act, 1877," it is enacted
that the Governor may from time to time, either by
general or particular description, and whether the
same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale
temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be
then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands
which, in his opinion, are required for any of the pur-
poses in the said section mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur Hamilton Gordon,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in
exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily
reserve from sale the land in the Land Districts of
Auckland, Marlborough, and Westland, described in
the Schedule hereunder written, for the purposes in
the said Schedule specified.

SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND.

ALL that piece or parcel of land containing by ad-
measurement 2 roods, more or less, being Lot No. 153
of the Town of Frasertown, Taramarama Survey
District, Provincial District of Auckland. Bounded
towards the South-east by Allotment No. 67, 239
links; towards the South-west by Grey Street, 472
links; and towards the North-west by Russell
Parade North, 521 links: be all the aforesaid link-
ages more or less. For ferry purposes.

All that piece or parcel of land containing by ad-
measurement 1 acre and 12 perches, more or less, and
being Lot No. 38 in the Parish of Okura, Block XI.,
Waiwera Survey District, Provincial District of
Auckland. Bounded towards the North-east by a
road, 468 links; towards the South by a road, 598
links; and towards the North-west by a road, 477
links, to the point of commencement. As a site for
a public hall.

MARLBOROUGH.

All that piece or parcel of land in the Land Dis-
trict of Marlborough, being Section No. 346, Kai-
koura Suburban, containing 12 acres 2 roods 37
perches. Bounded-Generally Northerly by a district
road in lines, 427.7, 996.4, 757.6, and 326.2 links
respectively; thence Easterly by a district road run-
ning between it and part 2 of Section No. 267 in
one line for a distance of 1420.8 links; thence South-
erly by a district road running between it and high-
water mark of South Bay in lines, 1395.2, 715.2,
596.6, and 932 links respectively; Westerly by Crown
land for a distance of 182.8 links: be all the afore-
said linkages more or less. For a recreation-ground.

WESTLAND.

All that piece or parcel of land being part of an
island in the Arahura Lagoon, Land District of West-
land, containing 21 perches, more or less, situated in
Block XIII., Waimea Survey District, and extending
beyond the northern boundary of Native Reserve
No. 30. For the use of the aboriginal natives.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this first day of June, one
thousand eight hundred and eighty-one.

Land set apart for a Public Road.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and
authorities conferred upon me by section two of
"The Awatere Shearing Reserve Act, 1879," I,
Arthur Hamilton Gordon, the Governor of the
Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice of
the Executive Council thereof, do hereby set apart
the land described in the Schedule hereto for the
purposes of a public road.

SCHEDULE.
PROVINCIAL DISTRICT OF MARLBOROUGH.-ROAD
THROUGH THE AWATERE SHEARING RESERVE.

ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of
Marlborough, containing by admeasurement 130
acres 2 roods 30 perches, more or less, being part of
a block of land situate in the Awatere Valley, in the
Hodder Survey District, known as the Awatere
Shearing Reserve, commencing on the southern
boundary of the said reserve at a point on the Awa-
tere River known as Weld's Hill Ford, passing
through the said reserve, and terminating on the
southern boundary thereof at a point known as the
Jordan Ford. Bounded towards the North by a
series of right lines running generally in a south-
westerly direction for a distance in the aggregate of
7 miles 16 chains or thereabouts; and towards the
South by right lines generally parallel to and distant
200 links from the northern boundary: as the same
is more particularly delineated on sheets Nos. I. to
VI., and sheets of Sections Nos. I. to IX., of the
plans of the Awatere Shearing Reserve Road, depo-
sited in the office of the Awatere Road Board, at
Blenheim.

Honorable Arthur Hamilton Gordon,
Knight Grand Cross of the Most Dis-
tinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George, Her Majesty's High
Commissioner for the Western Pacific,
Governor and Commander-in-Chief in
and over Her Majesty's Colony of New
Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-
Admiral of the same; at the Govern-
ment House, at Wellington, this thirty-
first day of May, in the year of our Lord
one thousand eight hundred and eighty-
one.

the persons named in the Schedule hereto to be
