or less. Bounded towards the North by Section No.
277, Forest Hill Hundred; towards the East by
Sections Nos. 107, 10, 32, 22, and 29; thence by a
line to the north-western corner of Section No. 42;
thence by a line running due south to southern
boundary of Winton Hundred continued eastward;
thence due West to Section No. 44, Block II., Winton
Hundred; thence along the eastern boundaries of
Sections Nos. 44, 45, and 46, also along the eastern
boundaries of Sections Nos. 49 to 57 inclusive; and
thereafter along the eastern boundaries of Sections
Nos. 32 and 31, Block III., of said hundred, to
starting point. For the growth and preservation of
timber.

All that parcel of land in the Oteramika Hundred,
comprising 2,830 acres, more or less. Bounded
towards the North and North-west by Sections Nos. 5
to 14 inclusive, Block IV., of said hundred; again
towards the North by a line from the south corner
of Section No. 36, Block II., continued eastward;
towards the East by eastern boundary of Block IV.;
towards the South by south boundary of said block;
and towards the West by the west boundary of said
block. For the growth and preservation of timber.

All that parcel of land situated in the Hokonui and
Forest Hill District, comprising 13,250 acres, more
or less, and bounded as follows, viz.: Commencing at
the south-eastern angle of Section No. 333, Hokonui
District; thence by a straight line to the north-
eastern angle of Section No. 326 of said district;
thence along the eastern boundary of said Section
No. 326 to the northern boundary of Forest Hill
District; thence due east to a point due north of the
most easterly angle of Section No. 177, Forest Hill
District; thence due south to a point due west of
the north-western angle of Section No. 169 of said
district; thence due east along the northern boundary
of said Section No. 169 to Waterworks Reserve;
thence by western boundary of said reserve continued
northward to north boundary of Forest Hill District;
thence due west along said boundary, 54 chains;
thence by a straight line to north-western angle of
Section No. 293, Hokonui District; thence by a
straight line running 122 chains, bearing 207°; thence
by a line running 184 chains, bearing 317°; thence
by a straight line to starting point. For the growth
and preservation of timber.

All that portion of the Hokonui Bush, situated in
the Waimumu Survey Hundred, containing by ad-
measurement 9,800 acres, more or less, and bounded
by the following lines: Commencing at the south-
western corner of Section No. 32, Waimumu Hun-
dred; thence by a line to the south-west corner of
Section No. 23 of said hundred; thence along the
south-western boundary of said section to a point
due north of the western boundary of Section No. 4A;
thence due south to the north-west corner of Section
No. 4A; thence by the last-mentioned line continued
and forming the west boundary of said Section No. 4A
to the northern boundary of Lindhurst Hundred;
thence along the northern boundary of Lindhurst
Hundred, 280 chains; thence by a line running due
north, 393 chains; thence by a line running due east
to Section No. 32, 94 chains; and thence along the
west boundary of last-mentioned section to the
starting point, 6 chains. For the growth and pre-
servation of timber.

All that parcel of land in the Hokonui District,
comprising 960 acres, more or less, and bounded as
follows, viz.: Commencing at the south-eastern angle
of Section No. 364; thence by a line running due
east to Section No. 332; thence northerly along the
western boundaries of Section No. 332 to northern
angle of said section; thence by a straight line to
south-western angle of Section No. 210; thence along
the western boundary of Section No. 210 to north-
western corner; thence by a straight line to the
south-western angle of Section No. 209; thence by a
straight line to the most northerly angle of Section
No. 364; thence along the eastern boundary of said
Section No. 364 to starting point. For the growth
and preservation of timber.

All that parcel of land in the Wairaki Survey
District, comprising 1,140 acres, and forming the
major portion of Letham Bush. Bounded as follows,
viz.: Commencing at the south-eastern angle of Sec-
tion No. 12, Wairaki District; thence by a line running
95 chains, bearing 196° 43'; thence by a line running
120 chains, bearing 286° 43'; thence by a line running
95 chains, bearing 16° 43'; thence by a straight line
to starting point. For the growth and preservation
of timber.

All that parcel of land in the Takitimo Survey
District, comprising 1,660 acres, more or less, forming
major portion of Blockmount Bush, and bounded as
follows, viz.: Commencing at Trig. B; thence by a
line running due south, 100 chains; thence by a
line running on a bearing of 225° to Waiau River;
thence along the eastern bank of Waiau River to a
point on a bearing of 225° from Geodesical Station;
thence by a straight line to Geodesical Station; and
thence by a straight line to starting point. For the
growth and preservation of timber.

All that parcel of land comprising 39,650 acres,
more or less, being portion of the Eyre Survey
District, and bounded as follows, viz.: Commencing
at Eyre Peak; thence south-westerly along the
boundary of the old Southland Province to a point
240 chains from the junction of the Windley and
Oreti Rivers; thence south-easterly by a line at
right angles to the last-mentioned line, a distance of
280 chains; thence north-easterly by a line parallel
to first-mentioned line till it strikes the Mataura
River; thence North-westerly up the Mataura River
to its source in Eyre Peak, the starting point. For
the growth and preservation of timber.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this twenty-third day of May,
one thousand eight hundred and eighty-
one.

License Fee for Shooting Game in the Wellington
District.

A. GORDON, Governor.

WHEREAS by a notification issued under "The
Animals Protection Act, 1880," dated the
twenty-seventh day of April, one thousand eight
hundred and eighty-one, and published in the New
Zealand Gazette of the twenty-eighth day of April,
one thousand eight hundred and eighty-one, it was
declared that licenses to take or kill game in the
Wellington District should be issued on payment of
the sum of thirty shillings each: And whereas it is
expedient to alter the amount payable for the said
license:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur Hamilton Gordon, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby
declare that licenses to take or kill game within the
said district shall be issued on payment of the sum
of twenty shillings each.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this twenty-sixth day of May,
one thousand eight hundred and eighty
one.
