Shooting Season for Nelson extended.
ARTHUR GORDON, Governor.
WHEREAS by a notification under "The Animals
Protection Act, 1880," dated the thirteenth
day of April, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-
one, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the
fourteenth day of April, one thousand eight hundred
and eighty-one, it was declared that cock-pheasants to
and Californian quail might be taken or killed within
the District of Nelson from the sixteenth day of
May, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-one,
to the thirtieth day of June, one thousand eight
hundred and eighty-one: And whereas it is expe-
dient to extend the said time:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur Hamilton Gordon, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise
of the powers vested in me by the said Act, do hereby
notify that cock-pheasants and Californian quail may
be taken or killed within the said district from the
sixteenth day of May, one thousand eight hundred
and eighty-one, to the thirtieth day of July, one
thousand eight hundred and eighty-one, both in-
clusive, subject nevertheless to the restrictions in the
said Act mentioned.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this nineteenth day of May,
one thousand eight hundred and eighty-
one.

Fixing Shooting Season for Hares in Southland Dis-
trict.
ARTHUR GORDON, Governor.
IN exercise of the powers vested in me by "The
Animals Protection Act, 1880," I, Arthur Hamil-
ton Gordon, the Governor of the Colony of New
Zealand, do hereby notify that hares may be taken
or killed within the District of Southland from the
nineteenth day of May, one thousand eight hundred
and eighty-one, to the thirty-first day of July, one
thousand eight hundred and eighty-one, both inclu-
sive (subject nevertheless to the restrictions in the
said Act mentioned): And I do further notify that
licenses to take or kill game in the said district
shall be issued on payment of the sum of thirty
shillings each, and licenses to sell game shall be
issued on payment of the sum of five pounds each;
and the Secretary to the Acclimatisation Society at
Invercargill is hereby appointed to issue the said
licenses.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this nineteenth day of May,
one thousand eight hundred and eighty-
one.

License Fees for Shooting in North Canterbury
District.

IN exercise of the powers vested in me by "The
Animals Protection Act, 1880," I, Arthur Hamil-
ton Gordon, Governor of the Colony of New Zea-
land, do hereby notify that licenses to take or kill
game in the North Canterbury District shall be
issued on payment of the sum of twenty shillings
each, and that licenses to sell game shall be issued
on payment of the sum of five pounds each; and
that the Secretary to the Acclimatisation Society at
Christchurch is hereby appointed to issue the said
licenses.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this nineteenth day of May, one
thousand eight hundred and eighty-one.

M.R.C.S. Edin.,
to be a Public Vaccinator for the District of Crom-
well, to perform gratuitous vaccination in accordance
with the provisions of the said Act and any regula-
tions made or to be made thereunder.

regulations made or to be made thereunder.
