✨ Crown Land Sales Notices
540 THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE. [No. 34]
Description of the Land.—These sections are inland
of the Waimate Plains and to the west of the Wai-
ngongoro Stream. They adjoin the continuous belt
of Native reserves.
From Manaia and Okaiawa, on the open plains,
roads are now being opened up to this land, and
other roadways are being cleared to give access to
the railway-line from Waitara and New Plymouth,
which is now open to the Eltham Station, within
about a mile of the block.
The continuation of the railway to Hawera is now
under construction; it skirts the land for three miles,
and when completed the distance by rail to Hawera
will be about ten miles.
With the exception of a few rata the bush consists
mainly of soft woods and other light timber, and can
easily be cleared. The country is well watered, and
is admirably adapted for conversion into grass lands.
Twenty-two sections, scattered over the block, have
been disposed of on good prices on the deferred-
payment system, and one-third of the proceeds will,
under the provisions of "The Land Act, 1877," Part
III., be spent on roads within or to open up the
block for the benefit of the selectors.
Terms of Payment.—The terms of payment are:
One-fourth cash to accompany the application, and
the remaining three-fourths within one month after
the applicant has been declared the purchaser. The
Crown-grant fee to be paid with the balance of the
purchase-money.
C. A. WRAY,
Commissioner of Crown Lands.

THE Crown lands as under will be open for appli-

after until sold, at the Land Offices, Carlyle, Hawera,

Description of the Land.—This land is situate on
the sea-coast, near Cape Egmont, twenty-two to
twenty-five miles south of the town of New Ply-
mouth. A good metalled road, being part of the
main coast-line from Hawera to New Plymouth,
forms the eastern boundary of the block. The land
is level and open, well watered, and fertile.
Terms of sale: One-fourth of the purchase-money
to be paid on application, and the balance to the
Receiver of Land Revenue at New Plymouth within
one calendar month from date of application, other-
wise the deposit will be forfeited, and the contract
for the sale of the land thenceforth will be null and
void. Crown-grant fees to be paid on completion of
the purchase. In the event of two or more applica-
tions for the same land being made on the same day,
the upset price at which such land shall be put up at
auction shall be the price stated above.
The above sections have been temporarily withheld
from sale, but they are now offered to the public
with the unsold sections in Blocks IV. and VIII.,
which were opened for sale for cash on the 4th of
April last.
Coloured lithographic plans of the above sections
are on view at the Land Offices throughout the
colony.
