Revoking Proclamation setting apart Land for the
Warea Village Settlement.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by a Proclamation dated the nine-
teenth day of January, one thousand eight
hundred and eighty-one, issued in pursuance and
exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon
me by the twentieth section of “The Land Act
1877 Amendment Act, 1879,” certain lands enume-
rated in the Schedule thereto were set apart for sale
as a village settlement: And whereas it appears to
me expedient to revoke the said Proclamation so far
as it relates to the lands enumerated in the Schedule
hereto:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur Hamilton Gordon, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise
of the powers and authorities conferred upon
me by the twentieth section of “The Land
Act 1877 Amendment Act, 1879,” do hereby revoke
of the said nineteenth day of January, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-one,
so far as it relates to the lands enumerated in the Schedule
hereto.

Honourable Arthur Hamilton Gordon,
Knight Grand Cross of the Most Dis-
tinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George, Her Majesty’s High
Commissioner for the Western Pacific,
Governor and Commander-in-Chief in
and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New
Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-
Admiral of the same; and issued under
the Seal of the said Colony, at the
Government House, at Wellington, this
tenth day of May, in the year of our
Lord one thousand eight hundred and
eighty-one.

And whereas a certain Bill passed by the Legisla-
tive Council and the House of Representatives of
the said colony, No. 57, of 1880, entitled “An Act
to legalize the Marriage of a Man with the Sister of
his Deceased Wife,” was presented to the Governor
of the said colony for Her Majesty’s assent, and the
said Bill was reserved for the signification of Her
Majesty’s pleasure thereon :

Now, therefore, I, Arthur Hamilton Gordon, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pur-
suance of the provisions of the said in part recited
Act, do, by this Proclamation, signify and proclaim
to all whom it may concern that the said Bill has
been laid before Her Majesty in Council, and that
Her Majesty has been pleased to assent to the same.

Marriage Act, 1880,” notified.

Extending Time for Preparation of County Rolls,
County of Manawatu.

A PROCLAMATION.

ARTHUR GORDON, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by an Act passed in the session of
Parliament held in the fifteenth and sixteenth
years of Her Majesty’s reign, entitled “An Act to
grant a Representative Constitution to the Colony
of New Zealand,” it is, amongst other things, enacted
that no Bill which shall be reserved for the significa-
tion of Her Majesty’s pleasure thereon shall have
any force or authority within the Colony of New
Zealand until the Governor of the said colony shall
signify, by Speech or Message, to the Legislative
Council and House of Representatives of the said
colony, or by Proclamation, that such Bill has been
laid before Her Majesty in Council, and that Her
Majesty has been pleased to assent to the same :

At the Government House, at Wellington, this
tenth day of May, 1881.

Present:
His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS it has been made to appear that cer-
tain things required to be done by “The
Counties Act, 1876,” in connection with the making
and revision of the county roll of the County of
Manawatu cannot be done by or within the times
required by the said Act :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of
the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the power
and authority vested in him by the two hundred and
eleventh section of the said Act, and by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council of the
said colony, doth hereby extend the time for the
doing of the said things in connection with the county
roll of the said County of Manawatu, and doth declare
that the time for the doing of such several things
shall be those which are specified in the Schedule
hereto.

SCHEDULE.

  1. For the preparation of the county roll: On or
    before the 21st May, 1881.
  2. Roll shall be open for inspection: From the
    26th May, 1881, until the 20th June, 1881.
  3. Objections to roll received: Until the 30th
    June, 1881.
  4. Day appointed for revision of roll: Some day
    on and after the 1st July, 1881, but Revision Court
    shall not sit after the 21st July, 1881.
  5. Roll shall come into force: On the 1st August,
