Mining Notices.
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT A TAIL-
RACE.

To the Mining Registrar at Ross of the Totara
Mining District, and all other persons whom it
β€’ may concern.

TAKE notice that it is intended to construct a
Tail-race, commencing in Block 1006, Totara
Survey District, continuing in a southerly direction
for 88 chains or thereabouts, passing through Blocks
1006, 1325, 1190, 1018, 1187, 1174, Totara Survey
District, and terminating at the junction of Simpson
Street and the Bowen Road, Ross Town Reserve.
Said race to have a mean breadth and depth of 3 feet
at the bottom and 5 to 15 feet at the top by 0 to 17
feet for the first 30 chains; thence through a tunnel
3 feet 6 inches wide by 6 feet 6 inches high to its
termination at a depth of about 83 feet below the
surface. Capable of discharging forty Government-
heads of water.
The time required for the construction and com-
pletion of said race is 365 days.
Dated at Hokitika, this 28th day of March, 1881.

I, the undersigned, hereby make application to
register the Te Aroha Quartz-Crushing Com-
pany (Limited) as a Limited Company under the
provisions of "The Mining Companies Act, 1872."

  1. The name of the Company is to be the Te Aroha Quartz
    Crushing Company (Limited).

  2. The place of intended operations is at Te Aroha, in the
    Provincial District of Auckland, New Zealand.

  3. The registered office of the Company will be situated at
    Te Aroha aforesaid.

  4. The nominal capital of the Company is two thousand
    pounds, in four thousand shares of ten shillings each.

  5. The number of shares subscribed for is two thousand nine
    hundred and twenty-two, being more than two-thirds of the
    entire number of shares in the Company.

  6. The number of paid-up shares is nil.

  7. The amount already paid up is nil.

  8. The name of the Manager is Henry Ernest Whitaker.
