Land taken for a Portion of the Waikato-Thames
Railway (Hamilton Branch Extension, Hamilton
Railway Bridge, and Waikato Contracts).

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by Proclamations issued under the
authority sections one hundred and twenty-
two, one hundred and twenty-three, and one hundred
and twenty-four of "The Public Works Act, 1876,"
the middle line of portions of the line of railway
from Waikato to the Thames, being one of the
railways specified in "The Immigration and Public
Works Appropriation Act, 1878," and "The Public
Works Act, 1879," was defined: And whereas pur-
suant to the one hundred and twenty-fifth section of
"The Public Works Act, 1876," the Minister for
Public Works has caused to be made and, on the
twelfth day of April, one thousand eight hundred
and seventy-nine, and the sixteenth day of Feb-
ruary, one thousand eight hundred and eighty, to be
deposited in the office of the Registrar of the Supreme
Court at Auckland, in the Provincial District of Auck-
land, such maps and plans as were necessary to ex-
plain the said portions of the said line of railway and
the land through which the same passes, and such
maps and plans were referred to in such Procla-
mations as aforesaid: And whereas "The Public
Works Act, 1879," enacts that such of the railways
mentioned therein as are unfinished may be com-
pleted under the provisions of "The Public Works
Act, 1876," "The Public Works Act 1876 Amend-
ment Act, 1878," and "The Public Works Act,
1879:" And whereas the land described in the
Schedule hereto is required to be taken for the said
portions of the said line of railway:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur Hamilton Gordon, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise
of the powers and authorities conferred by the sixth
section of "The Public Works Act 1876 Amendment
Act, 1878," and of every power and authority in that
behalf, and of every other power, do hereby proclaim
and declare that the land described in the Schedule
hereto is taken for the said portions of the said line
of railway.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that piece or parcel of land containing by ad-
measurement 3-roods 25 perches, situate in the
Survey District of Hamilton, being Lot 41, Township
of Hamilton, commencing at the easternmost corner
of said lot. Bounded-North-easterly by a public
road, 186 links; South-easterly by Lot 42, 500 links;
South-westerly by a public road, 183 links; North-
westerly by Lot 40 to commencing point, 486 links.
All those pieces or parcels of land situate in the
Survey District of Komakorau, being portions
reserved for railway purposes in the Parish of Kiri-
kiriroa, viz.:-
All that piece or parcel of land containing by ad-
measurement 3 roods 30 perches, commencing at the
southernmost corner of Subdivision No. 1, Section
A. Bounded-South-westerly by the Waikato River,
128 links; South-easterly by a line, 730 links; North-
easterly by a road, 78 and 51 links respectively;
North-westerly by a line to commencing point, 738
links.
Also all that piece or parcel of land containing by
admeasurement 1 acre 2 roods 38 perches, com-
mencing at the southernmost corner of Subdivision
No. 3, Section C. Bounded-North-westerly by
lines, 556, 610, and 719 links respectively; North-
easterly by a road, 60 and 40 links respectively;
South-easterly by lines, 709, 610, and 562 links
respectively; South-westerly by a road to commen-
cing point, 103 links.
Also that piece or parcel of land containing by ad-
measurement 16 perches, more or less, situate in the
Survey District of Komakorau, being portion of Sub-
division No. 1, Section B, Parish of Kirikiriroa, com-
mencing at a point 562 links from the westernmost
corner of said Subdivision No. 1, Section B. Bounded
-South-easterly by lines, 300, 200, and 113 links re-
spectively; North-westerly by a line to commencing
point, 610 links.
Also that piece or parcel of land containing by ad-
measurement 15 perches, situate in the Survey Dis-
trict of Komakorau, being portion of Subdivision
No. 3, Section C, Parish of Kirikiriroa, commencing
at a point 556 links from the southernmost corner
of said Subdivision No. 3, Section C. Bounded-
North-westerly by lines, 300, 200, and 112 links re-
spectively; South-easterly by a line to commencing
point, 610 links.
Also all that piece or parcel of land containing by
admeasurement 6 acres 1 rood 16 perches, com-
mencing at the junction of Hukunui Street with
Heaphy Terrace. Bounded - South-westerly by
Heaphy Terrace, 251 and 149 links respectively;
South-easterly by a road, 1589 links; North-easterly
by a road, 150 and 247 links respectively; North-
westerly by Hukunui Street to commencing point,
1587 links.
Also all that piece or parcel of land containing by
admeasurement 3 acres and 17 perches, commencing
at a point on the south-western boundary of Sub-
division No. 4, Section N, 294 links from the
southernmost corner. Bounded-North-westerly
by lines, 527, 325, 292, 110, 303, 402, 302, 302, and
413 links respectively; Easterly by a road, 48 and 51
links respectively; South-easterly by lines, 383, 298,
298, 270, 128, 299, 367, 26, 321, and 527 links
respectively; South-westerly by a road to com-
mencing point, 57 and 42 links respectively.

admeasurement 3 acres and 21 perches, situate in the
Survey District of Komakorau, being portion of Lot
304, Parish of Kirikiroa, commencing at a point 603
links in a southerly direction from the north-west
corner of said lot. Bounded-Northerly by lines,
590, 321, and 2058 links respectively; North-easterly
by a public road, 164 links; Southerly by lines, 2180,
320, and 618 links respectively; Westerly by a pub-
lic road to commencing point, 105 links.
All that piece or parcel of land containing by ad-
measurement 1 acre 3 roods 17 perches, situate in
the Survey District of Komakorau, being portion of
Lot 240, Parish of Kirikiriroa, commencing at a point
1053 links in a north-easterly direction from the
southernmost corner of said lot. Bounded-Southerly
by a line, 1751 links; South-westerly by a public
road, 164 links; Northerly by a line, 1951 links;
South-easterly by a line to commencing point, 128
links.
All that piece or parcel of land containing by ad-
measurement 1 acre 3 roods 12 perches, situate in
the Survey District of Komakorau, being portion of
Lot 239, Parish of Kirikiriroa, commencing at a point
1053 links from the southernmost corner of Lot 240.
