Greytown Public Cemetery brought under "The
Cemeteries Management Act, 1877."

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this
twenty-second day of November, 1881.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

W
HEREAS by section thirty-nine of "The
Cemeteries Management Act, 1877," it is,
amongst other things, enacted that, where the Trus-
tees of any public cemetery, or the Trustees, Mana-
gers, or other persons having the care and control of
any other cemetery, burial-ground, or place of burial
heretofore established, shall be desirous of adopting
the provisions of this Act, or any of them, in the
place of any Act or Ordinance, or any provisions of
such Act or Ordinance, heretofore regulating the
management of any such last-mentioned cemetery,
burial-ground, or place of burial, the said Trustees,
Managers, or other persons may apply to the Governor
in Council in that behalf, who may thereupon cause
inquiry to be made in such manner as he shall think
fit as to the desirability of granting such petition,
and the Governor may, by Order in Council, direct
that the provisions of this Act, or any of them, shall
come into force in respect of any such cemetery,
burial-ground, or place of burial, or he may reject
any such application:

And whereas the Trustees of the Greytown Public
Cemetery have applied to the Governor to bring the
said cemetery under the provisions of the said Act,
and due inquiry has been made in pursuance of the
said thirty-ninth section as to the desirability of
granting such petition:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of
the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise
of the powers and authorities vested in him, and by
and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the said colony, doth hereby order and
direct that all provisions of "The Cemeteries Managa-
ment Act, 1877," shall come into force in respect of
the public cemetery at Greytown, in the Provincial
District of Wellington, and known as the Greytown
Cemetery, as the same is described in the Schedule
hereto: And, in further pursuance and exercise of
the powers and authorities vested in me, I do, with
the like advice and consent as aforesaid, order and
direct that this order shall come into force on the
day of the date hereof.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of
Wellington, containing by admeasurement 15 acres,
more or less, being part of Section No. 38 on the
plan of the Moroa Block. Bounded towards the
North-east by Section No. 50, 750 links; towards
the South-east by other part of Section No. 38, and
the abutments of two public roads, each 50 links
wide, 2000 links; and towards the South-west and
North-west by Section No. 50, 750 links and 2000
links respectively: be all the aforesaid linkages
more or less; as the same is delineated on the plan
deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Wel-
lington.

N pursuance and exercise of the powers and au-
thorities vested in me by the second section
of "The Cemeteries Management Act, 1877," I,
Arthur Hamilton Gordon, the Governor of the
Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint the
several persons whose names are specified in the first
column of the Schedule hereto to be Trustees to
provide for the maintenance and care of the public
cemetery specified in the second column of the said
Schedule.

N pursuance and exercise of the powers and au-
thorities vested in me by the second section
of "The Cemeteries Management Act, 1877," I,
Arthur Hamilton Gordon, the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, do hereby appoint the several per-
sons whose names are specified in the first column of
the Schedule hereto to be Trustees to provide for the
maintenance and care of the public cemetery speci-
fied in the second column of the said Schedule.

WAINUI.
All that piece or parcel of land situated
in Blocks VI. and X., Waiwera South
District, Provincial District of Auckland,
called or known as the western portion of
Lot No. 195, Parish of Waiwera, and con-
taining by admeasurement 10 acres, more
or less. Bounded—Generally towards
the North by a public road, 405 and 340
links; generally towards the East by a
public road, 380 and 880 links; towards
the South-east by a public road in a
curved line; towards the South by a
public road, 745 links; and towards the
West by the other portion of Lot No.
195, Parish of Waiwera, 1420 links, to
point of commencement: be all the afore-
said linkages more or less.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this twenty-second day of
November, one thousand eight hundred
and eighty-one.
