"The Diseased Cattle Act, 1881," at Port
Chalmers, Otago Harbour.—Notice No. 100.

A PROCLAMATION.

BY virtue and in pursuance of the powers and
authorities vested in me by the twentieth sec-
tion of "The Diseased Cattle Act, 1881," and of all
other powers and authorities enabling me in that
behalf, I, James Prendergast, the Administrator of
the Government of the Colony of New Zealand, do
hereby proclaim and order that all that piece of
land described in the Schedule hereto shall be and
it is hereby set apart as a quarantine-ground for
cattle imported into Port Chalmers, Otago Harbour.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land situate within the area at
Mussel Bay, Otago Harbour, granted in trust to the
Superintendent of Otago. Bounded towards the
North-west by the foot of the Bluff; towards the
North-east by a line at right angles to the Port
Chalmers Railway-line; and towards the South-east
by a line parallel to and 44 feet distant from the
middle line of the said railway for a distance of 300
links.

Majesty's Colony of New Zealand; and
issued under the Seal of the said Colony,

A PROCLAMATION.

BY virtue and in pursuance of the powers and
authorities vested in me by the second section
of "The Sheep Act Amendment Act, 1881," and of
all other powers and authorities enabling me in that
behalf, I, James Prendergast, the Administrator of
the Government of the Colony of New Zealand, do
hereby proclaim and order that, in the subdivisions of
the Marlborough Sheep District, including the Amuri
Subdivision, as the same are constituted by Proclama-
tion under "The Sheep Act, 1878," dated the twenty-
third day of September, one thousand eight hundred
and seventy-nine, being within or partly within the
Provincial Districts of Marlborough and Nelson, the
operation of section twenty-three of "The Sheep
Act, 1878," shall be and is hereby suspended until
the thirty-first day of December, one thousand eight
hundred and eighty-one, inclusive.

West Wairarapa constituted.—Notice No. 102.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this
fifth day of November, 1881.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

IN exercise of the powers vested in me by "The
Rabbit Nuisance Act, 1881," I, Arthur Hamil-
ton Gordon, the Governor of the Colony of New
Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said colony, do hereby
abolish the Castlepoint, the Wainuiora, the Awhea,
the Masterton, the Carterton, the Featherston, and
the Otaraia Rabbit Districts, and do hereby consti-
tute and declare the part of the colony comprised
within the Counties of Wairarapa East and Wairarapa
West, as defined by "The Counties Act, 1876," a
rabbit district under the said "Rabbit Nuisance Act,
1881," by the name of the Wairarapa Rabbit
District.

Canterbury and Otago Sheep Districts.—Notification
that Sheep may be introduced from one District to
the other.—Notice No. 103.

WHEREAS the Sheep Districts of Otago and
Canterbury are adjoining districts, and are
both clean districts:

Now, therefore, I, James Prendergast, the Ad-
ministrator of the Government of the Colony of New
Zealand, do hereby, in exercise and pursuance of the
powers and authorities vested in me by the third
section of "The Sheep Act Amendment Act, 1881,"
order and declare that, during the period of two
years, or until either one of the said Sheep Districts
of Canterbury and Otago cease to be clean sheep
districts, sheep may be introduced by land from one
such district to the other such district without giving
to the Inspector of the district into which they are
to be introduced the notice mentioned in the fortieth
section of "The Sheep Act, 1878."

As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Administrator of the Government, this
seventh day of September, one thousand
eight hundred and eighty-one.
