The duty leviable under "The Beer Duty Act, 1880," shall, until notification be gazetted stating within
that beer duty stamps have been prepared and are general information:—
ready for use, be collected in manner following:—

Every brewer or his authorized agent shall, day
by day, pay in cash to the Collector of the district in
which his brewery is situated the duty chargeable on
all beer sold or removed for consumption or sale
from his brewery during the previous day; or, pro-
vided he lodges with the Collector a sum by way of
deposit sufficient to cover the amount of duty pay-
able weekly, he may pay the duty once a week.

Every brewer or his authorized agent, on tender-
ing the duty payable by him, shall give to the
Collector a statement in duplicate setting forth the
number, sizes, and contents, in imperial gallons, of
the several casks of beer sold or removed from his
brewery for consumption or sale since the date when
he last paid duty on beer so sold or removed; and on
every such statement shall make and sign, in the
presence of the Collector or a Justice of the Peace,
a declaration in the following form, or to the effect
thereof:—

I, , do hereby declare that the particulars
given above state truly the actual quantity of beer
sold, or removed for consumption or sale from the
brewery, owned by , at , in
the County [or Borough] of , from the
day of , to the day of
, 188 .

These regulations shall take effect from the seventh
day of October, one thousand eight hundred and
eighty.

In the Supreme Court of New Zealand.—Divorce
and Matrimonial Causes Jurisdiction.

NOTICE is hereby given that three or more of the
Judges of the Supreme Court of New Zealand
will sit at the Supreme Courthouse, Wellington, on
Monday, the 22nd day of November next, at 11
o'clock in the forenoon, to hear and determine
petitions for the dissolution or for a sentence of
nullity of marriage under section 60 of "The
Divorce and Matrimonial Causes Act, 1867;" and
also for the despatch of all other business accruing
under the said Act.
