Lands permanently reserved.
JAMES PRENDERGAST,
Administrator of the Government.
WHEREAS by the one hundred and forty-fourth section of "The Land Act, 1877," it is enacted that
the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the
same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, not with standing that the same may be then
held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which, in his opinion, are required for any of the purposes in
the said section mentioned:
And whereas by the one hundred and forty-fifth section of the said Act it is provided that land tempo-
rarily reserved under the said one hundred and forty-fourth section may, at the expiration of one month
but not later than six months after the publication in the Gazette of notice of such temporary reservation,
be permanently reserved, and that notice of such permanent reservation shall be published in the Gazette:
And whereas the lands specified in the first column of the Schedule hereto were, by the several
warrants the dates of which are specified in the third column of the said Schedule, and the notifications of
which were published in the Gazettes specified in the fourth column, temporarily reserved under the
authority of the said Act for the purposes specified in the second column of the said Schedule:
Now, therefore, I, James Prendergast, Chief Justice of the Colony of New Zealand, and Administrator
of the Government thereof, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the said
Act, do hereby permanently reserve the lands so temporarily reserved as aforesaid, and enumerated in the
first column of the Schedule hereto, for the purposes specified in the second column of the said Schedule,
being the same purposes for which the said lands were so temporarily reserved as aforesaid,

Land temporarily reserved in the Provincial Districts
of Auckland, Nelson, Canterbury, and Otago.

section of "The Land Act, 1877," it is enacted

temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be
then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands
which, in his opinion, are required for any of the
purposes in the said section mentioned:
Now, therefore, I, James Prendergast, the Chief
Justice of the Colony of New Zealand, and Adminis-
trator of the Government thereof, in exercise and
pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in
me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve
from sale the land in the Provincial Districts of
Auckland, Nelson, Canterbury, and Otago, described
in the Schedule hereunder written, for the purposes
in the said Schedule specified.
SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND.
ALL that piece or parcel of land containing by ad-
measurement 112 acres 2 roods, more or less, situate
in the Survey District of Waitemata, Provincial
District of Auckland, being portion of Allotment
No. 122, Parish of Takapuna, commencing at the
northernmost corner of Allotment No. 122.
Bounded-Easterly by a public road, 2815 links;
thence Southerly by a line, 1160 links; thence again
Easterly by a line, 880 links; thence Southerly by a
public road, 2250 links; thence South-westerly by a
commencing point, 4735 links: be all the aforesaid
linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on
the official map in the Survey Office, Auckland. For
recreation purposes.
All that piece or parcel of land containing by
admeasurement 10 acres, more or less, situate in the
Survey District of Waitemata, Provincial District of
Auckland, being portion of Allotment No. 122,
Parish of Takapuna, commencing at the south-easter-
most corner of Allotment No. 122. Bounded-
Southerly by a public road, 1190 links; thence
Westerly by a line, 880 links; thence Northerly by
a line, 1160 links; thence generally Easterly by a
public road to commencing point, 235 and 682 links:
be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the
same is delineated on the official maps in the Survey
Office, Auckland. For a cemetery.
All that piece or parcel of land being Lot No. 188
of the Parish of Mahurangi, Mahurangi Survey Dis-
trict, in the Provincial District of Auckland, contain-
ing by admeasurement 2 acres 3 roods 13 perches,
more or less. Bounded towards the North-east
by the Matakana River, a line, and road, 875 links;
towards the South and South-west by road-lines, 987
links; and towards the North-west by the Matakana
