SOUTHLAND COUNTY.
I HEREBY give notice that, in pursuance of the
powers granted by "The Public Works Act,
1876," the Southland County Council did, on the 10th
September, 1880, declare the roads described in the
Schedule hereto to be County Roads within the
meaning of the said Act.
SCHEDULE.
-
Road from Riversdale Railway Station, running
in a north-east direction through Sections Nos. 531
and 115, Hokonui District, across the Mataura River
till it joins the main road to Waikaia; length, about
two and a half miles. Short description, Riversdale
to Waikaia Road. -
Five-Rivers Plains Road, leading from Dome
Gate to the Lake and Riverton Road; length, two
miles. -
Road from Lowther to Government Reserve,
above Five-Rivers Home Station; length, nine miles. -
Road from Oreti Railway Station to Lumsden,
on east side of Oreti River; length, twelve miles. -
Road from Josephsville, through Sections 310
and 321, Hokonui District, to the Lumsden to Gore
Road; length, five miles. -
Road from south boundary of Section 310,
Hokonui District, running in an easterly direction
and joining the Lumsden to Gore Road at Section
350, Hokonui District; length, five and a half miles.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.
IT is hereby publicly notified that the order pro-
claiming the road from its junction with the
Great North Road, through Maunu Highway District
to Wharekohe, is hereby revoked.

LYTTELTON HARBOUR BOARD.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Lyttelton Har-
bour Board, under the provisions of "The
Public Works Act, 1876," "The Public Works Act
1876 Amendment Act, 1878," and "The Harbours
Act, 1878," require to take the lands described in
the Schedule hereto for the purposes of certain
works now in course of execution, namely, the
reclamation of a portion of the Lyttelton Harbour
at Dampier's Bay, and the construction of a Graving
Dock therein; and that a plan of the said lands so
required to be taken is deposited at the office of the
Lyttelton Harbour Board at Lyttelton, and is there
open for inspection between the hours of 9.30 a.m.
and 4.30 p.m. And notice is also hereby given that
all persons affected by the taking of the said lands
shall, if they have any well-grounded objections to
the taking of the said land, set forth the same in
writing, and send such writing, within forty days
from the first publication of this notice, addressed to
the Chairman of the said Board, Lyttelton.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land situate in the Town of Lyt-
telton, being the Town Section marked 231 on the
map or plan of the Chief Surveyor for the Provincial
District of Canterbury, setting out and describing
the Town of Lyttelton aforesaid. Also all that
parcel of land situate in the Town of Lyttelton
aforesaid, being the Town Section marked 234 on
the said map or plan of the Chief Surveyor for
the Provincial District of Canterbury. As the said
parcels of land are shown in the said plan and therein
coloured blue.
Dated at Lyttelton, this sixteenth day of Septem-
ber, 1880.

IN THE SUPREME COURT OF NEW ZEALAND,
OTAGO AND SOUTHLAND DISTRICT.
In the matter of "The Leases and Sales of Settled
Estates Act, 1865," and "The Leases and Sales
of Settled Estates Act 1865 Amendment Act,
1879," and in the matter of all that parcel of land
situated in the Town of Dundin, in the Provincial
District of Otago, and being part of Section 11,
Block V., on the map of the said town; bounded
towards the East by Hope Street, 85 feet; towards
the South by Manor Place, 66 feet; towards the
West by Section 10, 85 feet; and towards the
North by other part of said Section 11, 66 feet.
PURSUANT to the above-mentioned Acts and the
rules of this Court in that behalf, notice is
hereby given that, on the thirteenth day of Sep-
tember, 1880, MARION JAMESON JOHNSTON, of
Dunedin, Widow, presented her petition to this
Court, praying that a lease may be authorized of
the parcel of land above mentioned under the above-
mentioned Acts, that the existing lease may be sur-
rendered, and that all proper inquiries may be made
and directions given for effecting such purposes, and
that the costs of and incident to the said petition
may be provided for.
And notice is also hereby given that the petitioner
may be served with any order of the Court or of the
Judge, or notice relating to the subject of the said
petition, at the offices of Messrs. Kenyon and Hos-
king, Princes Street, Dunedin.

SCOULAR AND ARCHIBALD V. TE ARO THEATRE
AND PUBLIC HALL COMPANY (LIMITED).
I HEREBY give notice that, under writ of fieri
facias, duly issued out of the Supreme Court of
New Zealand, Wellington District, at the suit of
THOMAS DONALD SCOULAR and ROBERT ARCHIBALD,
of the City of Wellington, Contractors, I have taken
in execution the fee-simple of the Te Aro Theatre
and Public Hall Company (Limited), in all that piece
of land situated in the City of Wellington, con-
taining one rood, more or less; bounded towards the
North, sixty-one feet three inches, and the East, one
hundred feet and ninety-two feet, by other part of
Section two hundred and ten; towards the South-
west, sixty-five feet, by Manners Street; and towards
the West, one hundred and seventy feet, by Section
two hundred and nine; which said piece of land is
part of Section two hundred and ten, delineated on
the public map of the said city, and is the piece of
land described in the certificate of title entered in the
Register-book, Vol. x., folio 237 : and that I intend
to cause the same to be sold at the auction-rooms,
Panama Street, in the City of Wellington, of
Messieurs T. Kennedy Macdonald and Co., after the
expiration of three calendar months from this date,
namely, on Monday, the sixth day of December, 1880,
at two o'clock in the afternoon.
