Mining Notices.
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT A WATER-
RACE.
To the Mining Registrar at Cromwell of the Otago
Gold Fields Mining District, and all other persons
whom it may concern.
T AKE notice that it is intended to construct a
Water-race and divert water, under the pro-
visions and for all or any of the purposes comprised
and described in section 31 of "The Mines Act, 1877,"
and specially for sheep-washing purposes, com-
mencing at a point on northern side of Tynwald
Creek, about half a mile above a race held by us, and
terminating at Tynwald Creek aforesaid, below the
said race; also including in its course a reservoir
situate on Mount Pisa Station, covering 2 acres of
ground or thereabouts; also a sheep-wash. The
length of such race is nearly one mile or there-
abouts, and its intended course is west and east
to dam, and from thence north and south. The race
is constructed. The mean depth of such race is 2
feet, and the mean breadth is 3 feet, and it is proposed
to divert twelve Government-heads of water.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT A WATER-
RACE.
Otago Gold Fields, 11th August, 1880.
To the Warden at Lawrence.
W E hereby give notice that we intend to con-
struct a Water-race to divert and use water for
mining purposes, commencing at a point in a gully
tributary to Reedy Creek, about ten miles up from
Waitahuna, and terminating at our extended claim,
marked out by present applicants on the south side
of Reedy Creek, about ten miles up from Waitahuna.
The length of such race is half a mile or thereabouts,
and its intended course is northerly. The mean
depth of such race is 2 feet, and the mean breadth is
1½ feet, and it is proposed to divert two Government-
heads of water.

Date and number of miners' rights: 11th August,
1880, 15683; 11th August, 1880, 15685; 11th
August, 1880, 15684; 11th August, 1880, 15686.
Any person objecting to the granting of this
application must lodge his objection in writing at the
Warden's Office at Lawrence within fourteen clear
days from the date hereof.
Hearing at Lawrence, at 11 o'clock, on the 27th
August, 1880.

W E hereby further give notice that we intend to
construct a Tail-race for mining purposes,
commencing at a point in claim of present appli-
cants, on south side of Reedy Creek, and terminating
in Reedy Creek, and we estimate fourteen days will
be required for its construction. The length of such
tail-race will be 200 yards or thereabouts, and its
intended course is south-easterly. The greatest
depth will be 4 feet, and width 3 feet.

To the Mining Registrar at Naseby of the Mount
Ida Mining District, and all other persons whom
it may concern.
T AKE notice that it is intended to construct a
Water-race, and divert water for domestic,
irrigation, and machinery purposes, commencing in
the Kyeburn River, about 2¼ miles above my house,
and terminating at my house, junction of Naseby and
Dunstan Roads.
The mean depth and breadth of such race is 3 feet
by 1½ feet; the intended course is north and south;
length, about 2½ miles; and it is proposed to divert
three Government-heads of water. Required for a
term of fifteen years.

I HEREBY give notice that I intend to construct
a Water-race to divert and use water for mining
purposes, commencing at a point at Fraser's Gully
about 50 yards below the junction, and terminating
at the south-west boundary of the Zealandia Lease.
The length of such race is 800 yards or thereabouts,
and its intended course is south-easterly.
The mean depth of such race is 1 foot 6 inches,
and the mean breadth is 2 feet 6 inches, and it is
proposed to divert four Government-heads of water.
