THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

Now, therefore, I, Sir Hercules George Robert
Robinson, the Governor of the Colony of New Zea-
land, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and
authority vested in me by "The Mines Act, 1877,"
do hereby proclaim and order that the boundaries of
the mining districts in the Provincial District of
Marlborough shall include the land described in the
First and Second Schedules hereunto annexed; and
that the said mining districts shall be known and
described by the local names hereunder given.

All former Proclamations concerning boundaries of
Marlborough Gold Fields are hereby cancelled; and
this Proclamation shall come into force from the date
hereof.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

WAIRAU AND PELORUS MINING DISTRICT.

ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of
Marlborough, bounded towards the North by Sec-
tion No. 32, Wakamarina Survey District, from the
summit of the watershed between the Pelorus and
Wakamarina Rivers to the Wakamarina River;
thence by that river and by Sections Nos. 61, 60,
and 1 of said survey district to the south-eastern
corner of last-mentioned section; thence by a right
line to the south-western corner of Section No. 58;
thence by that section and Sections Nos. 88, 94, and
77 of said survey district to Paul's Run; and thence
by that run to the summit of the watershed between
the Wakamarina and Kaituna Rivers: thence
towards the East by the summit of the said
watershed to the summit of the northern water-
shed of the Onamalutu Creek; thence by that
watershed to a point due north of the northern
corner of Section No. 134, Onamalutu Survey Dis-
trict; thence due south to the Onamalutu Creek,
and thence by that creek to the Wairau River:
thence towards the South by that river to the
Goulter River; thence towards the South-west by
that river and the Ward's Pass Stream to Ward's
Pass; thence towards the North-west by the summit
of the watershed to Mount Rintoul; thence by the
summit of the watershed between the Pelorus and
Wairau Rivers to Mount Fishtail; thence by the
summit of the watershed between the Pelorus and
Wakamarina Rivers to Section No. 32 aforesaid: as
the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the
Survey Office, Blenheim.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

QUEEN CHARLOTTE SOUND MINING DISTRICT.

ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District
of Marlborough, bounded towards the North and
North-west by Port Gore to Cape Jackson; towards
the East by Queen Charlotte Sound to Section No.
111, in Torea Moua Bay; thence towards the West
by that section to the summit of the watershed
between Pelorus and Queen Charlotte Sounds;
thence towards the West by the summit of that
watershed over Mount Stokes to Titirangi Run;
thence again towards the North by that run to Port
Gore: excepting all freehold and Native lands
within the aforesaid boundaries; as the same is
delineated on the plan deposited in the Survey
Office, Blenheim.

Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distin-
guished Order of Saint Michael and Saint
George, Governor and Commander-in-
Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony
of New Zealand and its Dependencies,
and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued
under the Seal of the said Colony, at the

our Lord one thousand eight hundred and

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this
third day of August, 1880.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

HIS Excellency the Governor of the Colony of
New Zealand, by virtue and in pursuance of
the power and authority conferred upon him by the
thirteenth section of "The Electric Telegraph Act,
1875," and of every other power enabling him in that
behalf, and by and with the advice and consent of
the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby
make the regulation in the Schedule hereto annexed,
and such regulation shall come into force from
and after the fourth day of August, one thousand
eight hundred and eighty; and all existing regula-
tions inconsistent with such regulation are hereby
rescinded.

SCHEDULE.

THE under-mentioned stations shall be open to the
public on week-days from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and from
7 p.m. to 8 p.m.; and on Sundays and public holi-
days from 10 a.m. to 10.30 a.m., and from 5 p.m. to
5.30 p.m.:-

At the Government House, at Wellington, this
twenty-fourth day of August, 1880.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS it has been made to appear that cer-
tain things required to be done by "The
Municipal Corporations Act, 1876," in connection
with the making and revision of the burgess lists or
rolls of the Borough of North Invercargill, and the
election of Councillors and Auditors of the said
borough, could not be done by or within the time
required by the said Act:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of
the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the power
and authority vested in him by the twelfth section of
the said Act, and by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth
hereby extend the time for the doing of the said
things in connection with the burgess lists or rolls of
the Borough of North Invercargill, and for holding
the elections of Councillors and Auditors of the said
borough; and doth declare that the times for the
doing of such several things shall be those which are
specified in the Schedule hereto annexed.
