the existing Waste Water Channel No. 2, as herein-
before referred to, and ending at a peg figured 0 miles
24 chains on same, having a width of 100 links through-
out; bounded to the East by a line 50 links distant
from the centre of the said Waste Water Channel No.2
as constructed, and generally parallel to same; and
bounded to the West by a line 100 links distant from
the said eastern boundary, and generally parallel to
same; as indicated on map by dotted green lines and
green shading. All that piece or parcel of land com-
mencing at a point on the left branch of Nelson
Creek about 8 chains above its junction with Suther-
land's Creek; thence following the existing water-race
known as Magee's Race, and ending at peg figured
4 miles 46 chains 10 links on same, having a width of
100 links throughout: bounded to the North by a line
50 links distant from the centre of the said race as
constructed, and generally parallel to same; and
bounded to the South by a line 100 links distant
from the said northern boundary, and generally
parallel to same; as indicated on map by dotted
green lines and green shading. All that piece
or parcel of land commencing at peg figured 2 miles
71 chains on the race known as Magee's Race,
hereinbefore referred to, being also peg 0 miles 0
chains on the existing water-race known as the
Branch of Magee's Race; thence following the
said Branch of Magee's Race, and ending at a peg
figured 0 miles 72 chains 41 links on same, having a
width of 100 links throughout: bounded to the North
by a line 50 links distant from the centre of the said
race as constructed, and generally parallel to same;
and bounded to the South by a line 100 links distant
from the said northern boundary, and generally
parallel to same; as indicated on map by dotted
green lines and green shading: all being within
the Provincial District of Nelson, Colony of New
Zealand, and are more particularly delineated upon
the plan marked P.W.D. 6235, deposited in the
Warden's office, Ahaura.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

THE whole of the streams flowing into Lake Hoch-
stetter, the Lake Hochstetter itself, and the stream
known as the left-hand branch of Nelson Creek, with
all its tributaries from its junction with Lake Hoch-
stetter downwards to the dam at head of the Nelson
Creek Water-race about 90 chains below the said
lake; also a stream of water, equal to twenty sluice-
heads (measured in accordance with "The Mines Act,
1877"), to be taken from the left-hand branch of
Nelson Creek aforesaid at the head of the race known
as Magee's Race, being about 8 chains above the
junction of Sutherland's Creek with the left-hand
branch of Nelson Creek; as indicated on map.

come into Operation.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by "The Administration Act, 1879,"
it is enacted that the said Act shall come into
operation on a day to be fixed by the Governor by
Proclamation in the Gazette, such day to be not less
than one month from the day upon which notice of
Her Majesty's approval of the same shall be pub-
lished in the said Gazette: And whereas a Pro-
clamation dated the seventh day of July last past
was published in the New Zealand Gazette on the
eighth day of July aforesaid, notifying that Her
Majesty had assented to the said Act:

Now, therefore, I, Hercules George Robert Robin-
son, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand,
in pursuance of the said Act, and in exercise of
the power thereby conferred on me, do hereby pro-
claim and declare that "The Administration Act,
1879," shall come into operation on the first day of
September, one thousand eight hundred and eighty.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this
seventeenth day of August, 1880.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in
me by the eleventh section of "The Public
Reserves Act, 1877," I, Sir Hercules George Robert
Robinson, Governor of the Colony of New Zealand,
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the said colony, do hereby order and
declare that the reserve made for public recreation in
the Provincial District of Hawke's Bay, and known as
the Farndon Park Recreation-ground, and described
in the Schedule hereto, shall be and the same is
hereby brought under the operation of and declared
to be subject to the provisions of "The Public
Domains Act, 1860," and its amending Acts; and
such domain shall hereafter be managed, administered,
and dealt with in manner directed by the said Acts.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of
Hawke's Bay, containing by admeasurement 20 acres,
more or less, situate in the Clive Survey District,
and being a portion of the Waikahu Block. Bounded
towards the North-east by the main road from Napier
to Clive, 1271 links; towards the South-east by the
Ngaruroro River; towards the South-west by other
portions of the Waikahu Block, 1400 links; and
towards the North-west by a public road, 1493 links:
