2. The extension of the Gasworks of the said borough, and
the purchase and erection of further plant for the said Gas
works, and the extension of the gas-mains and the erection of
public lamps in the said borough.

And notice is hereby further given that of the said sum of
£20,000 so intended to be raised it is proposed to
borrow-

  1. For the purpose of the construction of the public works
    secondly hereinbefore mentioned, the sum of £15,000, that is
    to say,-

For the construction of 15 chains asphalt pathway, Dee
Street; 22 chains asphalt pathway, Tay Street; 49 ch
asphalt pathway, Clyde Street-in all 86 chains, 5 feet wide,
the sum of £666 10s.

For the construction of 66 chains asphalt pathway, Esk
Street, 44 chains asphalt pathway, south side of Don Street;
49 chains asphalt pathway, south side of Spey Street-in all
159 chains, 4 feet wide, the sum of £1,057 7s.

For metalling and gravelling Gala Street, the sum of £522.

For metalling and gravelling Forth Street, and box-drain on
north side of street, the sum of £420.

For the formation and gravelling of 5 chains of footpath and
roadway in Doon Street, the sum of £70.

For the formation of roadsides and footpaths in Tweed Street,
between Clyde Street and Elles Road, and gravelling of path,
the sum of £350.

For the formation and gravelling of Ettrick Street, between
Liddel Street and Elles Road, the sum of £685 8s.

For the formation of roadsides and one footpath, and gravel-
ling of one footpath in Clyde Street, between the Puni Creek
and Biggar Street, the sum of £342.

For the gravelling of part of Earn Street, both roadway and
footpaths, between Clyde Street and Ness Street, the sum of
£350.

For the gravelling of Crinan Street, from Liddel street to
Elles Road, including 5 chains formation in west end, the
sum of 468 5s.

For the formation and gravelling of Eye Street, between Ythan
Street and Elles Road, the sum of £143.

For fencing Town Belt block, north of Tyne Street, 10 chains,
the sum of £30.

For fencing Town Belt blocks, south of Tyne Street, 31 chains,
the sum of £93.

For fencing Town Belt block, south of Ettrick Street, 31
chains, the sum of £93.

For fencing Town Belt block, south of Crinan Street, 31
chains, the sum of £93.

For fencing Town Belt block, north side of Gala Street be-
tween Kelvin Street and Deveron street, 28 chains, the sum of
£84.

And the Council of the said Borough propose to appropriate
the said sum of £15,000 to the several purposes aforesaid.

  1. For the extension of the Gasworks of the said borough, and
    the purchase and erection of further plant for the said Gasworks,
    and the extension of the gas-mains and the erection of public
    lamps in the said borough, the sum of £5,000; and the Council
    of the said borough propose to appropriate that amount to
    that purpose.

And notice is hereby further given that, in addition to the
security provided by section 277 of "The Municipal Corpora-
tions Act, 1876," as amended by "The Municipal Corporations
Act, 1878," it is proposed to pledge as security for the said loan
of £20,000 the moneys from time to time to arise from a special
rate of sixpence in the pound, to be levied by special order
