ceeding year thereafter, elect one of themselves to
be Chairman, who may join in the discussion, and
shall have an original as well as a casting vote. The
Chairman shall hold office until the election of his
successor.
5. If at any meeting the Chairman is not present
at the time appointed for holding the same, the mem-
bers present shall choose some one of their number
to be Chairman of such meeting.
6. If, by resignation, death, or incapacity, or other-
wise, the office of Chairman shall be or become
vacant, the members may at any monthly or special
meeting appoint a Chairman.
7. All questions shall be determined by the majority
of votes of the members of the Board present at a
meeting.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this
tenth day of August, 1880.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS certain plans (marked M.D. 205 to
215) of a graving-dock to be built at Lyttelton
by the Lyttelton Harbour Board were approved in
Council on the eleventh day of February, one thou-
sand eight hundred and seventy-nine: And whereas
the said Harbour Board desire to extend the length
of the said dock fifty feet, and have submitted
amended plans showing the proposed extension, in
accordance with the provisions of "The Harbours
Act, 1878;" and it having been made to appear to the
Governor in Council that the said extension of the
graving-dock will not be, or tend, to the injury of
navigation:
Now, therefore, the Governor of the Colony of
New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of
the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby
approve of plans of the said graving-dock showing
an extension of fifty feet in length, the said plans
being marked M.D. 411 and 412, and deposited in the
office of the Marine Department, Wellington.

Fixing Date of Sitting of Circuit Court at Hokitika.

WHEREAS by "The Supreme Court Act, 1860,"
it is enacted that there shall be held Circuit
Courts for the despatch of civil and criminal business
of the Court before one of the Judges thereof, at
such places and times as the Governor in Council
may from time to time appoint:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of
the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said
colony, in pursuance and exercise of the power and
authority vested in him by "The Supreme Court
Act, 1860," doth hereby appoint that there shall be
held in the Westland District, at the Supreme Court-
house at Hokitika, on Monday, the sixth day of
September next, a Circuit Court for the despatch of
civil and criminal business of the said Court.

Vaccination Station, Mount Grey District, abolished.
HERCULES ROBINSON, Governor.
WHEREAS by a warrant under the hand of His
Excellency the Governor, dated the twelfth
day of March, one thousand eight hundred and
seventy-four, the School-house, Mount Grey Downs,
was appointed a place at which the Public Vaccinator
appointed for the District of Mount Grey, should
attend for the performance of vaccination: And
whereas it has been found unnecessary that the
Public Vaccinator should attend at such place for
such purpose:
Now, therefore, I Hercules George Robert Robin-
son, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in
exercise and pursuance of all powers enabling me in
that behalf, do hereby declare that, from and after
the fourth day of August, one thousand eight hun-
dred and eighty, the Schoolhouse, Mount Grey
Downs, shall cease to be a place at which the
Public Vaccinator for the aforesaid district shall
attend for the performance of vaccination.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this fourth day of August, one
thousand eight hundred and eighty.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in by "The Public Health Act, 1876," I, Hercules
George Robert Robinson, the Governor of New Zealand, do hereby appoint the several places mentioned
in the second column of the Schedule hereto as and to be places at which the Public Vaccinator
appointed for the district mentioned in the first column of the said Schedule shall attend for the
performance of vaccination, as required by the said Act; and I do hereby give notice that such
Public Vaccinator will attend at the respective places aforesaid, for the purpose of performing such
vaccination, on the days and at the hours set forth in the third column of the said Schedule opposite the
name of each such place; and, further, that at each such place as last aforesaid the Public Vaccinator
will attend for the purpose of inspecting the progress of such vaccination in the persons so vaccinated on
the days and at the hours respectively set forth in the fourth column of the said Schedule opposite the
name of each such place.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this fourth day of August, one
thousand eight hundred and eighty.
