of Wellington, bounded towards the East by a right
line drawn south from Otane Wainuku for a
distance of twenty-two miles; thence towards the
South-east by a right line to a point five miles due
south of the most southerly extremity of the Rere
Whakaitu Lake, thence by a right line to the most
northerly point of the Waikaremoana Lake; thence
towards the South by a right line to the Rangitaiki
River, at the point where the main road from Taupo
to Napier crosses it; again towards the East along
the middle of that road to the 39th parallel of south
latitude; thence again towards the South by the
39th parallel of south latitude aforesaid to 176° 30'
east longitude; again towards the East by the Napier
and Waipukurau Resident Magistrate's District,
hereinafter described, to latitude 39° 15' south;
again towards the South by the parallel of 39° 15'
south latitude to the Wanganui River; towards the
West by that river to the 39th parallel of south
latitude, thence by a right line to the source of the
Mokau River, thence by a line bearing north 22° 30'
west to the summit of the watershed between the
Waipa River and the West Coast, thence by the
summit of that watershed to the Pirongia Mountain;
and thence towards the North, North-west, and
West by the confiscation boundary to a point in line
with a line drawn from Otane Wainuku to Maunga-
kawa; and thence again towards the North by a
right line over Maungakawa to Otane Wainuku, the
starting point.

NAPIER AND WAIPUKURAU DISTRICT.
All that parcel of land in the Provincial District
of Hawke's Bay, bounded towards the North-east
by the Wairoa Resident Magistrate's District, here-
inbefore described; towards the East by the sea;
towards the South by the Waimata River to its
source, thence by a right line to Trig. Station
No. 41A, and thence by a right line to Trig. Station
No. 52c, thence by a right line to the confluence of
the Tiraumea River with the Manawatu River, and
thence by the Manawatu River to the Gorge; thence
towards the West by the summit of the Ruahine
Range to latitude 39° 30' south, and thence by a
right line to the 39th parallel of south latitude at
176° 30' longitude east; thence towards the North
by the 39th parallel of south latitude aforesaid to
the road from Taupo to Napier; again towards the
West by that road to the Rangitaiki River; and
again towards the North by a right line in the
direction of the most northerly point of the Waikare-
moana Lake to the said Wairoa Resident Magis-
trate's District: including the adjacent islands.

POVERTY BAY DISTRICT.
All that parcel of land in the Provincial District
of Auckland, bounded towards the East by the
ocean from Motu Heka Point, Tolago Bay, to
Paritu; thence towards the South-west by a right
line to the confluence of the Ruakituri River with the
Huangaroa River, thence by the middle of the said
Ruakituri River to Puketapu, and thence by a right
line to Maungapohutu; thence towards the North-
west by the summit of the watershed to a point due
west of Motu Heka Point aforesaid; and thence
towards the North by a right line to said Point, the
starting point: including the adjacent islands.

divided into Subdivisions.

A PROCLAMATION.

BY virtue and in exercise of the power and authority
enabling me in that behalf, conferred upon me
by "The Otago Roads Ordinance, 1871," section
eight, and "The Abolition of Provinces Act, 1875,"
I, Hercules George Robert Robinson, Governor of
the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim that
the Wyndham Road District, in the County of
Southland, in the said colony, shall be divided into
three separate subdivisions, named respectively the
Wyndham Township, Oware, and Redan Subdivisions,
the boundaries whereof are respectively set forth in
the Schedule hereto, and the said district is hereby
subdivided accordingly from the day of the date
hereof.

SCHEDULE.

WYNDHAM TOWNSHIP SUBDIVISION.
Bounded towards the North by the Mataura River
and the Mimihau Stream to Section 5, Block I.;
towards the East and South-east by Sections 5, 18, 42,
32, and 23 of Block IV.; towards the South by said
Block IV.; towards the South by said
Section 23; and towards the West by the Mataura
River.

OWARE SUBDIVISION.
Bounded towards the North by the Mimihau
Stream to a point due north of Trig. Station T.
towards the East by a right line through said Trig. Station T to a point due
east of the northern boundary-line of Section 15,
Block III.; towards the South by a right line to said
northern boundary, by Sections 15 and 6 of said
Block III., by Sections 9 and 5, Block II.; again
towards the East by Sections 5 and 46, the Main
Centre Road, Sections 44 and 45, to a point due east
of the north-western corner of Section 34; thence
again towards the South by a right line to the said
corner, thence by the said Section 34 and the Redan
Road to the Oware Creek, and by said creek to the
Wyndham River; towards the South by said river,
and Section 12, Block IV.; and towards the West
by the Mataura River and Wyndham Township Sub-
division, before described.

REDAN SUBDIVISION.
Bounded towards the North and North-west by
the Oware Subdivision, before described; towards
the East by Slopedown and Mokoreta Survey Dis-
tricts; and towards the South and South-west by the
Wyndham River.
