Gold-Mining Lease to be granted.
PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.
IN conformity with the thirty-seventh section of
"The Mines Act, 1877," and with the regu-
lations made under that Act for the granting of
leases for gold-mining purposes, it is hereby notified
that it is intended to grant a lease of Crown lands
for gold-mining purposes to the applicants specified
in the annexed Schedule, unless there shall be valid
objections against such lease.
Objections to the granting of such lease, stating
the grounds of objection, must be made in writing,
and lodged with the Warden at St. Bathans on or
before the 2nd day of August, 1880.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Leases for Sale in the Waikaia District.

LEASES will be offered for twenty-one years, in
the Waikaia District, under "The Otago and
Southland Reserves Leasing Act, 1878," by public
auction, at Gore, on Thursday, the 5th August next, at
noon.
Sections 1 to 13, Block X., Waikaia District, con-
taining from 208 to 320 acres each section. Upset
price, 2s. rental per acre per annum.
NOTE. Terms and conditions of leases, as given
in the New Zealand Gazette of the 24th June current,
may be had on application to this office.

at Gore, on Thursday, the 5th August next, at noon.

RURAL LAND.
Crookston. Section 2, Block X., 351 acres and 31
perches, at 21s., and survey fees, £21 Os. 8d.; Sec-
tion 10, Block XVI., 288 acres 2 roods 38 perches,
at £2 per acre.
Slopedown. Sections 12, 14, and 15, Block II,
containing respectively 350 acres 2 roods 27 perches,
311 acres 1 rood 14 perches, and 304 acres 3 roods
19 perches, at £1 per acre.
Toetoes.--Section 31, Block I., 122 acres 3 roods
25 perches, at £1 5s. per acre, with survey fees, £11
5s.; Sections 40 to 49, Block IV., 9 to 20, Block
VII., from 13 to 234 acres each, at £1 10s. per acre;
Section 3, Block VI., 176 acres 2 roods 33 perches,
at £2 per acre, and survey fees, £12 3s.
NOTE. Section 31, Block I., is a good section.
Most of the sections in Blocks IV. and VII. have
valuable timber upon them. Section 3, Block VI., is
a valuable section.
Tuturau.-Sections 65 to 70, Block III., Sections
70A to 86, Block IV., from 4 to 20 acres each, at £3
per acre; also Sections 46, 87, 88, and 89, Block IV.,
at £4 per acre.
NOTE. These sections, which are within three
miles of Mataura Bridge, have been surveyed into
small allotments to enable settlers to obtain a portion
of bush.
Waikaka. Section 20, Block I. (an island in the
Mataura), 80 acres, at £2 per acre, and survey fees,
£6 12s.; Section 17, Block IV., 7 acres and 32 perches,
£10 per acre. This section is admirably adapted for
mill purposes.
And in East Gore, Waikaka, Pukerau, Kelso,
Waikaia, Waipahi, Clinton, Wyndham, and Fortrose.
