THE following Notice to Mariners, received from
the Portmaster, Brisbane, is published for
general information.

ENTRANCE TO BURNETT RIVER.
THE North Spit having extended considerably to the
southward, and near the leading line of beacons,
masters of vessels are cautioned, on entering, when
abreast of the lighthouse, to open the beacons the
width of themselves to the southward, and keep them
in this position until past the Red Perch Buoy on
the end of spit.

Crown Lands Notices.

IT is hereby notified that the Commissioners ap-
pointed in pursuance of section 75 of "The
Land Act, 1877," have reported to His Excellency
the Governor that the land described in the Schedule
hereto shall be classified as pastoral land, and the
Governor has determined that the same shall be dis-
posed of as pastoral land upon deferred payments, as
provided by sections 76 to 85 inclusive of "The
Land Act, 1877."

under-mentioned gold-mining lease cancelled, and
that the ground is now open for application as if no
lease of the said ground had ever been applied for:β

Gold-Mining Lease to be granted.
PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.
IN conformity with the thirty-seventh section of
"The Mines Act, 1877," and with the regula-
tions made under that Act for the granting of leases
for gold-mining purposes, it is hereby notified that it
is intended to grant a lease of Crown lands for gold-
mining purposes to the applicant specified in the
annexed Schedule, unless there shall be valid objec-
tions against such lease.
Objections to the granting of such lease, stating
the grounds of objection, must be made in writ-
ing, and lodged with the Warden at Queenstown on
or before the 28th day of July, 1880.
