For the improvement and protection of the River
Waimakariri.
WHEREAS by the one hundred and forty-fourth
section of "The Land Act, 1877," it is enacted
that the Governor may from time to time, either by
general or particular description, and whether the
same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale
temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be
then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands
which, in his opinion, are required for any of the
purposes in the said section mentioned:
Now, therefore, I, Sir Hercules George Robert
Robinson, the Governor of the Colony of New Zea-
land, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and
authorities vested in me by the said Act, do hereby
temporarily reserve from sale the land in the Pro-
vincial District of Canterbury described in the
Schedule hereto, for the purpose in the said Schedule
specified.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Rolleston Survey
District, Provincial District of Canterbury, contain-
ing 530 acres, more or less. Bounded-Northward by
Reserve 947 (in red) and by the River Waimakariri;
Eastward by the said reserve; Southward by Section
No. 4578 and by the said reserve; and Westward
by a road-line and by the said reserve: and numbered
2463 (in red) on the official map in the Survey
Office, Christchurch. Excepting thereout Section
No. 34577, 20 acres, and also the road along the
south bank of the River Waimakariri, and two other
roads crossing the land herein described in an
easterly and westerly direction and in a north-
westerly and south-easterly direction respectively.
All that parcel of land in the Rolleston Survey
District, Provincial District of Canterbury, contain-
ing 50 acres, more or less. Bounded-Northward by
the River Waimakariri; Eastward by Reserve No.
947 (in red); and Southward and Westward by
road-lines: and numbered 2464 (in red) on the official
map aforesaid. Excepting thereout the road along
the south bank of the River Waimakariri.
All that parcel of land in the Rolleston Survey
District, Provincial District of Canterbury, contain-
ing 100 acres 1 rood 24 perches, more or less.
Bounded-Northward and Westward by road-lines;
and Southward and Eastward by Reserve No. 947
(in red): and numbered 2465 (in red) on the
official map aforesaid.
All that parcel of land in the Rolleston Survey
District, Provincial District of Canterbury, contain-
ing 100 acres 1 rood 24 perches, more or less.
Bounded-Northward and Westward by Reserve No.
947 (in red); Eastward by a road-line; and South-
ward by the said reserve and by a road-line : and
numbered 2466 (in red) on the official map afore-
said.
All that parcel of land in the Rolleston Survey
District, Provincial District of Canterbury, contain-
ing 50 acres, more or less. Bounded-Northward,
Southward, Eastward, and Westward by Reserve
No. 947 (in red): and numbered 2467 (in red) on
the official map aforesaid. Excepting thereout a
road running through the land herein described in
an easterly and westerly direction.
All that parcel of land in the Rolleston Survey
District, Provincial District of Canterbury, contain-
ing 250 acres, more or less. Bounded-Northward
by the River Waimakariri; Eastward and Westward
by Reserve No. 947 (in red); and Southward by a
road-line: and numbered 2470 (in red) on the official

Trustee appointed for Ngaruawahia Cemetery.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and
authorities vested in me by the fourth section
of "The Cemeteries Management Act, 1877," I, Sir
Hercules George Robert Robinson, the Governor of
the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint
WILLIAM JOHNSTON BURNETT
to be a Trustee, in place of Richard Robert Hunt,
resigned, to provide for the maintenance and care of
the Ngaruawahia Public Cemetery, in conjunction
with the other persons appointed by warrant under
the hand of His Excellency the Governor on the
twenty-first day of January, one thousand eight
hundred and eighty.
As witness the hand of his Excellency the
Governor, this tenth day of June, one
thousand eight hundred and eighty.

thorities vested in me by the fourth section of
"The Cemeteries Management Act, 1877," I, Sir
Hercules George Robert Robinson, the Governor of
the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint
ROBERT COLTHART
to be a Trustee, in place of Orfeus George Parker,
resigned, to provide for the maintenance and care of
the Kowai Pass Public Cemetery, in conjunction with
the other persons appointed by warrant under the
hand of His Excellency the Governor on the twenty-
eighth day of August, one thousand eight hundred
and seventy-eight.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this ninth day of June, one
thousand eight hundred and eighty.

Cemetery.

thorities vested in me by the second section
of "The Cemeteries Management Act, 1877," I, Sir

the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint the
several persons whose names are specified in the
first column of the Schedule hereto to be Trustees to
provide for the maintenance and care of the public
cemetery specified in the second column of the said
Schedule.
