PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

IN conformity with the thirty-seventh section of
"The Mines Act, 1877," and with the regula-
tions made under that Act for the granting of
mineral leases, it is hereby notified that it is intended,
after the expiration of thirty days from the publica-
tion of this notice, to grant leases for coal-mining
purposes to the applicants, and for the areas specified,
in the annexed Schedule.
Copy of the applications made, together with
plans, may be seen at the Crown Lands Office at
Dunedin.

Locality: Section 9, Block I., Bannockburn. Min-
ing District: Dunstan. Proposed term: 21 years.
Applicants: Edward McNulty, jun, and William

under the provisions of "The Land Transfer Act,
1870," unless caveat be lodged forbidding the same

NOTICE is hereby given that all that parcel of
land, being Allotments numbered respectively
29, 30, and 31, Township of Melrose, comprised in
certificate of title, Register-book, Vol. vii., folio 205,
is hereby offered for sale: And, further, that, unless
within one calendar month from the date of the
Gazette containing this notice a sufficient amount
shall have been realized by the sale of said land to
satisfy the principal and interest moneys due on a
certain memorandum of mortgage registered in this
office as No. 3691, and all expenses of such sale or
incidental thereto, an order will be issued by me in
favour of ARCHIBALD HILL JACK, of Dunedin,
Gentleman, the second Mortgagee, pursuant to sec-
tion 127 of "The Land Transfer Act, 1870," foreclos-
ing ARTHUR TULLOH NATION, late of Dunedin, Soli-
citor, and all persons claiming through or under him,

2400, from all right and equity of redemption of and

month from the date of the Gazette containing
this notice there be tendered to me, for the purchase
of the fee-simple of all those two pieces of land con-
taining respectively 1 rood 28 perches, and 28 perches,
parts of Rural Section No. 2760, Ashley District, as
described in certificates of title, Vol. xxxvii., folios 167
and 168, a sum sufficient to satisfy the principal, in-
terest, and other charges due on mortgages thereof,
given by THOMAS MONTAGUE ADAMS to
GEORGE TICKNER, of Amberley, Farmer, I shall
issue a foreclosure order in favour of the Mortgagee,
unless caveat be lodged or an injunction received by
me from the Supreme Court forbidding the same.
