Districts constituted under "The Registration of
Births and Deaths Act, 1875."

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and au-
thority vested in me by "The Registration of
Births and Deaths Act, 1875," I, Sir Hercules
George Robert Robinson, the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, do hereby revoke so much of a Pro-
clamation made and issued on the tenth day of Octo-
ber, one thousand eight hundred and seventy, as
relates to the New Plymouth and Patea Districts,
constituted for the purposes of "The Registration
Act, 1858," the boundaries of which were therein set
forth, and do proclaim and declare that the territories
formerly comprised within the said districts shall be
and the same are hereby divided for the purposes of
"The Registration of Births and Deaths Act, 1875,"
into four districts, the names whereof shall be the
Inglewood District, New Plymouth District, Hawera
District, and Patea District, and the boundaries of
the said districts shall be coterminous with the boun-
daries of districts bearing the same names as are
set forth in a Proclamation of even date herewith,
made under the provisions of "The Marriage Act
Amendment Act, 1858;" and I hereby declare that
this Proclamation shall come into operation and take
effect on the first day of June, one thousand eight
hundred and eighty.

Regulations respecting Prospecting Licenses to search
for Gold outside Mining Districts, under "The
Mines Act 1877 Amendment Act, 1879."

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and au-
thority vested in me by "The Mines Act 1877
Amendment Act, 1879," I, Hercules George Robert
Robinson, the Governor of the Colony of New Zea-
land, do hereby proclaim that the following regula-
tions respecting prospecting licenses to search for
gold upon Crown lands outside mining districts shall
be in force from the date hereof :-

  1. Every person desirous of obtaining a prospect-
    ing license to search for gold upon Crown lands out-
    side any mining district shall apply for such license
    to the Governor, by delivering to the Commissioner
    of Crown Lands of the provincial district in which
    the land is situated an application containing the
    name of the locality or district in which he desires
    to prospect.

  2. The fee (payable upon application) for the
    prospecting license shall be one pound.

  3. The license shall be for any term not exceeding
    twelve months, and shall be in the form hereunto
    annexed.

FORM OF LICENSE.

Know all men that I,
, being in that
behalf duly authorized by His Excellency the Go-
vernor, do hereby, in pursuance of "The Mines Act
1877 Amendment Act, 1879," give to
, of
, in consideration of the sum of one
pound by him duly paid, full license and authority
to enter upon the Crown lands herein described,
viz.,

for the purpose of searching for gold.

And this license shall be in force for twelve
calendar months from the date hereof; but shall in
no case be deemed to prevent the sale of any Crown
lands over which the license may extend.

BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in
me by the eleventh section of "The Public
Reserves Act, 1877," I, Sir Hercules George Robert
Robinson, Governor of the Colony of New Zealand,
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the said colony, do hereby order and
declare that the reserve made for public recreation
in the Provincial District of Auckland, and known as
the Mount Hobson Recreation-ground, and described
