Districts constituted under "The Marriage Act
Amendment Act, 1858."

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and au-
thority vested in me by "The Marriage Act
Amendment Act, 1858," I, Sir Hercules George
Robert Robinson, the Governor of the Colony of
New Zealand, do hereby revoke so much of a Procla-
mation duly made and issued on the tenth day of
October, one thousand eight hundred and seventy, as
relates to the New Plymouth and Patea Districts,
constituted for the purposes of the said Act, the
boundaries whereof were therein set forth, and do
proclaim and declare that the territories formerly
comprised within the said districts shall be and the
same are hereby divided for the purposes of the Act
into four districts, the names and boundaries whereof
shall be as follow:-

INGLEWOOD DISTRICT.

All that area in the Provincial District of Taranaki,
and bounded towards the North from the River Wai-
wakaiho at the north-west corner of Section 52 in
Hua and Waiwakaiho Hundred, by Sections 48, 44,
and 45 of that hundred, by Sections 32, 41, 80, 55,
and 203 of Tarurutangi Survey District, by Sections
127, 115, 116, 206, and 207, Huirangi Survey District,
to a point on the southern boundary of last men-
tioned section where the eastern side of Suffolk Road
produced intersects it, thence by a right line to the
Kurapete River at the south-east corner of Section
238, thence by that river to its confluence with the
Manganui River; towards the East by the Manganui
River to Block VI., Huiroa Survey District, thence
by Blocks II. and III.; towards the East by Blocks
VIII., XII., and XVI. of said district, and IV. of
Ngaere Survey District; towards the South by the
Patea River to its source, thence by a line to the
summit of Mount Egmont; towards the West by a
line from the summit of Mount Egmont to the source
of the Waiwakaiho River, and by said river to the
starting point.

NEW PLYMOUTH DISTRICT.

All that area in the Provincial District of Taranaki,
and bounded towards the North by the River Mokau
from its mouth to its source; towards the East and
South-east by a right line, thence to a point on the
Tuhua River at which the 39th parallel of south
latitude intersects it, thence by that river and the
Wanganui River to a point at which the Taumata-
mahoe track intersects that river, thence by a right
line in the direction of the mouth of the Patea River
to the confiscation boundary; towards the south-west
by that boundary to the Patea River, thence by that
river to the Inglewood Registration District, herein-
before described; and thence towards the West,
South, and again towards the East by that district to
the summit of Mount Egmont; again towards the
South-east by a right line to the source of the River
Taungatara, and by that river to the sea; and towards
the West by the sea to the mouth of the Mokau River,
the starting point.

HAWERA DISTRICT.

All that area in the Provincial District of Taranaki,
bounded towards the North-west by the New Ply-
mouth District, hereinbefore described; towards the
North-east by the Inglewood District, hereinbefore
described, and the said New Plymouth District, to
the confiscation boundary; thence towards the East
by a right line to the source of the Manawapou River,
and by that river to the sea; and towards the South-
west by the sea to the mouth of the Taungatara
River, the starting point.

PATEA DISTRICT.

All that area in the Provincial Districts of Taranaki
and Wellington, bounded towards the North-west by
the Hawera District, hereinbefore described; towards
the North-east by the confiscation boundary to its
intersection with the Waitotara River; towards the
South-east by that river; and towards the South-west
by the sea.
