Nelson.-Showery up to 23rd, with very heavy rain at times, 3-12 inches recorded on 15th; from 24th to end fine pleasant
weather; prevailing N. and N.E. winds, and strong on 7th, 8th, and 20th, but otherwise moderate.
Cape Campbell.--Generally fine weather, but strong winds from S.E. and N.W.; showery in middle of month; the maximum
fall of rain recorded on 14th, 60 in.
Christchurch.-Fine to 13th, 14th to 16th dull and showery, then settled and fine to end, except 27th and 31st, when it rained;
maximum rain recorded on 16th, 57 in.; prevailing winds, N.E. and S.W., and moderate; strong N.W. winds on 22nd
and 23rd.
Bealey. Very wet, unpleasant weather; maximum rain on 23rd, 3-680 in.; N.W. gales on nine days; prevailing N.W. winds,
and generally strong; snow on two days; thunderstorms on 20th and 21st.
Hokitika. Very wet, stormy weather almost throughout; wind prevailed from N.W. and S.W., and often very strong; thunder
and hail on 20th and 21st; maximum rain on 31st, 3Β·40 in.
Dunedin. Showery and changeable; maximum rain recorded on 7th, 74 in.; thunder and hail on 23rd; prevailing N.E.
wind, and moderate.
Queenstown. Tolerably fine until 21st, when cold, wet weather set in; snow on hills on 22nd and 23rd; fine from 25th to end;
fog on 7th and 10tlΔ±; maximum rain recorded on 7th and 20th, 77 in.; prevailing N.W. wind, and generally moderate.
Southland. Very dry weather, with occasional hot days; sharp frosts on 1st and 13th; maximum rain on 23rd, 90 in.; thunder
on 11th; winds changeable; stormy on 3rd, 6th, and 9th from N.W., on 15th and 16th from E., on 22nd from N.W., and
on 26th from W.
Chatham Islands. - Fine weather, with occasional light showers, the maximum rainfall on 24th, 30 in.; prevailing S.W. and
N.W. winds, and generally moderate; fog on 16th.
GENERAL REMARKS.-Early part generally fine at Northern stations, and remainder very wet, squally, and unpleasant; in
the South, wet, stormy weather almost throughout; prevailing N.W. winds. Earthquake felt at Queenstown on 25th, at 6.30
a.m., slight.

MOA ROAD BOARD DISTRICT.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Board of the
above district propose to stop about 43 chains
of the Lepper Road going through Sections numbers
253 and 204, Huirangi District. Plans of the
portion of the road proposed to be stopped, and of
the proposed new road, are on view and may be
inspected at the office of Mr. Robert Kenny, the
Chairman of the Board, on the Junction Road.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership
hitherto existing between us in the business of
Fruiterers and Greengrocers, and carried on in
Ridgway Street, in Wanganui, under the name of
ROBERT SKIFFENS, has this day been dissolved by
mutual consent.

NOTICE OF DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership
hitherto existing between the undersigned
JAMES RIDDICK and WILLIAM COOK, in the City of
Wellington, as General Storekeepers, under the style
or firm of "W. Cook and Co.," is hereby dissolved
by mutual consent as from this date. The said
William Cook, having purchased the share and in-
terest of the said James Riddick in the said partner-
ship, will in future carry on the business on his own
account, and will discharge all liabilities of or in
connection with the said partnership. The said
William Cook will receive all debts due to the said
partnership, and his receipt shall be a sufficient dis-
charge for the same.
