THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

Now, therefore, I, Sir Hercules George Robert
Robinson, the Governor of the Colony of New
Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of
the Executive Council of the said colony, and in
exercise of the powers and authorities conferred
upon me by the seventh section of "The Public
Reserves Act Amendment Act, 1878," do hereby
declare and define that the purpose for which the
said land shall, from and after the twelfth day of
March, one thousand eight hundred and eighty,
be dedicated, shall be for a site for a sheep-dip, and
quarantine purposes.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that piece or parcel of land in the Provincial
District of Marlborough, being Section No. 498, in
the Town of Picton. Bounded towards the North
by Dublin Street; towards the North-east by Wai-
tohi Stream; towards the South-east by Section No.
497; and towards the West by Markam Street: as
the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the
District, Survey Office Blenheim.

Land temporarily reserved in the Provincial District
of Westland.

HERCULES ROBINSON, Governor.

WHEREAS by the one hundred and forty-fourth
section of "The Land Act, 1877," it is enacted
that the Governor may from time to time, either by
general or particular description, and whether the
same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale
temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be
then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands
which, in his opinion, are required for any of the
purposes in the said section mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, Sir Hercules George Robert
Robinson, the Governor of the Colony of New Zea-
land, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and
authorities vested in me by the said Act, do hereby
temporarily reserve from sale the land in the Pro-
vincial District of Westland described in the
Schedule hereunder written, for the purpose in the
said Schedule specified.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of
Westland, containing 1 acre 1 rood, more or less,
being Reserve No. 218 (in red) on the map of the
Town of Ross, Block II., Totara Survey District.
Bounded towards the North by Gibson Street, 250
links; towards the East by Presbyterian Church
Reserve, right-of-way, and Section No. 24, 500 links;
towards the South by St. James's Street, 250 links;
and towards the West by Sections Nos. 22 and 23,
500 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.
For police and other Government purposes.

Also all that parcel of land in the Provincial Dis-
trict of Westland, containing 1 acre 2 roods 36 perches,
more or less, being Reserve No. 219 (in red) on the
map of the Town of Kumara, Block XII., Waimea
Survey District. Bounded towards the South-east
by the Greenstone Road, 150 links; towards the
North-east by Tui Street, 1150 links; towards the
North-west by Town Belt West, 150 links; and
towards the South-west by Camp Street, 1150 links:
be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For police
and other Government purposes.

Also all that parcel of land in the Provincial
District of Westland, containing 5 acres, more or
less, being Reserve No. 220 (in red), Block XIV., on
the map of the Waimea Survey District. Bounded
towards the South-east by Camp Street and by

Crown lands, 1000 links; towards the North-east by
Crown lands, 500 links; towards the North-west by
Crown lands, 1000 links; and towards the South-
west by the Greenstone Road, 500 links: be all the
aforesaid linkages more or less. For police and
other Government purposes.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this third day of March, one
thousand eight hundred and eighty.

Revocation of Authority to C. A. Harris to build a
Wharf in Auckland Harbour.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this
ninth day of March, 1880.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

HEREAS by Order in Council, dated the
sixteenth day of September, one thousand
eight hundred and seventy-nine, and published in
the New Zealand Gazette No. 97, of the eighteenth
day of the same month, His Excelleney the
Governor in Council did, in pursuance of the pro-
visions of "The Harbours Act, 1878," authorize
Christopher Atwell Harris to build a wharf in Auck-
land Harbour: And whereas it is expedient to
revoke the said Order in Council:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of
the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said
Colony, and in exercise of the powers vested in him
by the seventeenth section of "The Harbours Act,
1878," doth hereby revoke the said Order in Coun-
cil, and the same is revoked accordingly.

Westland Judicial District assigned to Mr. Justice
Williams.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this
twelfth day of March, 1880.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

HEREAS by "The Supreme Court Act, 1860,"
it is enacted that it shall be lawful for the
Governor in Council from time to time to divide the
colony into judicial districts for the purposes of the
said Act, and the limits of such districts from time
to time to alter as occasion may require, and that the
Governor in Council shall assign every such district
to a Judge or Judges of the Supreme Court, who
shall have, within the same, all the powers and juris-
diction thereby given to the said Court:

And whereas the Westland District, as defined by
an Order in Council dated the first day of April, one
thousand eight hundred and seventy-eight, and pub-
lished in the New Zealand Gazette, dated the eleventh
day of April, one thousand eight hundred and
seventy-eight, has been assigned to James Prender-
gast, Esquire, the Chief Justice of the Supreme
Court, and also to Alexander James Johnston,
Esquire, and Christopher William Richmond,
Esquire, Judges of the said Court:

And whereas it is expedient that the said West-
land District should also be assigned to Joshua
