Land set apart for Sale on Deferred Payments in
Otago.

A PROCLAMATION.
W
HEREAS by the fifty-fourth section of "The
Mines Act, 1877," it is, amongst other things,
enacted that it shall be lawful for the Governor to
cause Crown lands situate within a gold field to be
selected and set apart for the purpose of granting
agricultural leases thereon and therefor, or for
alienation by occupation licenses on deferred pay-
ments under any law for the time being in force in
the land district in which such mining district is
situate :
And whereas the lands described in the Sche-
dule hereto are Crown lands subject to be dealt
with under the provisions of the said Act, and it is
deemed expedient to set the same apart for alienation
by occupation licenses on deferred payments as
aforesaid:
Now, therefore, I, Sir Hercules George Robert
Robinson, the Governor of the Colony of New Zea-
land, do hereby select and set apart, for the purpose
of alienation by occupation licenses on deferred pay-
ments, the lands described in the Schedule hereto;
and do fix Thursday, the sixth day of May, as
the day on which the said allotments shall be
open for application, in allotments as surveyed and
marked on the selection map in the office of the
Commissioner of Crown Lands, Dunedin.

A PROCLAMATION.

HEREAS by the fifty-third section of "The
Land Act, 1877," it is enacted that the
Governor, by Proclamation in the Gazette, may from
time to time set apart out of any suburban or rural
lands such blocks or allotments of land as he shall
think fit, and set the same aside for sale on deferred
payments, and in such Proclamation may fix a day
on which the land shall be open for application; and
that he may also in like manner set apart for sale on
deferred payments such blocks or allotments as may
be recommended by any Land Board, and may also
from time to time alter, amend, or revoke any such
Proclamation :
Now, therefore, I, Sir Hercules George Robert
Robinson, the Governor of the Colony of New Zea-
land, in pursuance and exercise of the power and
authority vested in me by the above-named Act, do
hereby proclaim and declare that the land described
in the Schedule hereto is set apart for sale on
deferred payments; and that Monday, the third
day of May, one thousand eight hundred and
eighty, shall be the day on which the said land
shall be open for application at any Land Office in
the Provincial District of Otago, in one allotment, as
surveyed and marked on the selection map in those
offices.
And in pursuance of the fifth section of "The
Land Act 1877 Amendment Act, 1879," I do hereby
fix the price at which the land so described shall be
sold to be the price named in the Schedule hereto.
And in pursuance of section eight of the last-
named Act, I do hereby fix the value of improve-
ments upon the land at the sum of two hundred and
five pounds.
