Changing the Purpose of a Portion of a Reserve.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this
twenty-third day of February, 1880.
Present:
THE HONORABLE THE PREMIER PRESIDING IN
COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the first
column of the Schedule hereto was reserved
for a gravel-pit on the thirty-first day of January,
one thousand eight hundred and seventy:
And whereas the said reserve is for one of the
purposes named in Part I. of the Schedule to "The
Public Reserves Act Amendment Act, 1878," and, in
the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient to change
the purposes of such reserve to another of the pur-
poses named in the said Part I., as hereinafter
mentioned:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of
the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said
colony, and in exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in him by the sixth section of "The Public
Reserves Act Amendment Act, 1878," doth hereby
order and direct that the purpose of the reserve
mentioned in the first column of the said Schedule
hereto shall be changed from that of a reserve for
a gravel-pit, and doth hereby declare and define the
purposes of the said reserve to be those specified in
the second column of the said Schedule, the same
being one of the purposes named in Part I. of the
Schedule to the said Act.

Division of the Provincial District of Otago,
containing by adineasurement 2 roods, more
or less, being portion of gravel reserve,
Section No. 67, Block XIII., New River
Hundred. Bounded on the North by part
of Section 67 aforesaid, 250 links; on the
East by a road line, 200 links; on the South
by a road line, 250 links; and on the West
by part of Section No. 67 aforesaid, 200
links: as the same is more particularly
delineated on the map deposited at the
Survey Office, Invercargill.
Intended Purposes.
As a site for a
mechanics' insti-
tute.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule
hereto was reserved for a landing-place and
a site for public buildings: And whereas, in the
opinion of the Governor, it is expedient to vest the
said land in the Chairman, Councillors, and In-
habitants of the Wairarapa West County:
Now, therefore, the Governor of the Colony of
New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of
the Executive Council of the said colony, and in the
exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him
by the sixth section of "The Public Reserves Act
Amendment Act, 1878," doth hereby declare that,
from and after the third day of March, one thousand
eight hundred and eighty, the said reserve shall
become vested in the said Chairman, Councillors,
and Inhabitants of the said county, in trust for the
purposes hereinbefore named.
