THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.
held on the 9th day of February, 1880, at the
Borough Council Office, Wanganui, under the pro-
visions of section 10 of "The Municipal Corpora-
tions Act, 1876," on the proposal to raise the sum of
£10,000 by way of special loan, for the purpose
of extending waterworks, building a hospital and
Council offices, drainage, and river-bank protection,
and pledging as security therefor the rents and
profits of the lands known as the Wanganui Town
Belt, were as follow:-
For the proposal ... ... 155 votes
Against the proposal ... ... 15 ,,
The number of votes given for the proposal exceed-
ing the number against it by more than one-fifth of
the latter, I hereby declare the resolution carried.

Notice to Imprestees under "The Public Revenues
Act, 1878."
Treasury,
Wellington, 24th February, 1880.
OFFICERS holding advances of Public Money are
hereby required to pay to the Public Account,
at the nearest branch of the Bank of New Zealand,
the total unexpended balances in their hands, on or
before Wednesday, the 31st day of March proximo,
so as to close absolutely all Advance Accounts on
that date, and forthwith to transmit the Bank Receipt
for such repayments to the Treasury at Wellington.
As respects disbursements which officers may re-
quire to make during the week following the close of
the financial year, requisitions for the amount re-
quired are to be made in such time as to enable them
to reach Wellington not later than the 24th March,
so that the funds requisite may be placed at the
disposal of the officer on the 1st April.
