fifth section of "The Public Works Act, 1876," the
Minister for Public Works has caused to be made
and, on the nineteenth day of April, one thousand
eight hundred and seventy-nine, to be deposited in
the office of the Registrar of the Supreme Court at
Auckland, such maps and plans as were necessary to
explain the said portion of the said line of railway
and the land through which the same passes, and
such maps and plans were referred to in such Pro-
clamation as aforesaid: And whereas the railway
from Whangarei to Kamo is one of the railways
specified in "The Public Works Act, 1879," and it is
enacted therein that such of the railways mentioned
as are unfinished may be completed under the pro-
visions of "The Public Works Act, 1876," "The
Public Works Act 1876 Amendment Act, 1878," and
"The Public Works Act, 1879:" And whereas the
land described in the Schedule hereto is required to
be taken for a part of the said portion of the said
line of railway:

Now, therefore, His Exellency the Governor of
the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers
and authorities conferred by the sixth section of
"The Public Works Act 1876 Amendment Act,
1878," and of every power and authority in that
behalf, doth hereby proclaim and declare that the
land described in the Schedule hereto is taken for
the said part of the said portion of the line of rail-
way from Whangarei to Kamo.

SCHEDULE.

PARISH OF WHANGAREI, WHANGAREI HIGHWAY
DISTRICT.

ALL that parcel of land containing by admeasure-
ment 10 acres 1 rood and 19 perches, more or less,
situate within Lot 50, Parish of Whangarei, being a
portion of the Kamo Coal Company's land. Bounded
-Westerly by the Bay of Islands Road, 371 links;
North-westerly, Northerly, and Easterly by other
part of said Lot 50, 1294, 895, 1980, 488, 265, 655,
and 527 links respectively; Southerly by the Rua-
tangata Road, 250 links; Westerly, Southerly, and
South-easterly by other part of said Lot 50, 512,
724, 290, 488, 1792, 286, 616, and 1332 links respect-
ively.

All that other parcel of land containing by ad-
measurement 5 acres 1 rood and 10 perches, more
or less, being portion of Lot 51, in the above dis-
trict. Bounded - North-westerly by Ruatangata
Road, 400 links; North-easterly by other part of
said Lot 51, 1747 links; South-westerly by other
part of said Lot 51 and Kamo Township, 722 and
702 links respectively; North-westerly and South-
westerly by other part of said Lot 51,110 and 435
links respectively.

All that other parcel of land containing by ad-
measurement 39 perches, more or less, being Lot 109,
Kamo Township, in the above district. Bounded-
South-easterly by Carruth Street, 147 links; South-
westerly by Lot 37, Kamo Township, 250 links;
North-westerly by Wakelin Street, 47 links; North-
easterly by Lot 51, 268 links.

All that other parcel of land containing by ad-
measurement 1 rood, more or less, being Lot 37,
Kamo Township, in the above district. Bounded-
South-easterly by Carruth Street, 100 links; South-
westerly by Lot 36, Kamo Township, 250 links; North-
westerly by Wakelin Street, 100 links; North-
easterly by Lot 109, 250 links.

measurement 2 acres 2 roods and 29 perches, more
or less, being part of Lot 51, in the above district.
