ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of
Taranaki, containing by admeasurement 2 roods 4
perches, more or less, being Sections numbered 272
and 273 on the map of the Town of Kakaramea.
Bounded towards the North by Section 263, 210
links; towards the East by Kakaramea Road, 227.3
links; towards the South by a street, 274.1 links;
and towards the West by Section 271, 218.1 links.
As a site for a police station.
All that parcel of land in the Provincial District
of Taranaki, containing by admeasurement 2 roods,
more or less, being Sections numbered 785 and 823
on the map of the Town of Stratford. Bounded
towards the North by Sections 784 and 822, 440
links; towards the East by the Mountain Road, 116
links; towards the South by Sections 786 and 824,
440 links; and towards the West by Miranda Street,
116 links. As a site for a police station.
All that parcel of land in the Provincial District
of Taranaki, containing by admeasurement 2 roods
2 perches, being Sub-allotments Nos. 3 and 4 of
Allotment numbered 19 on the map of the Township
of Hawera, Patea District, Hawera Survey District.
Bounded towards the North-east by Sub-allotments
2, 213 links; towards the South-east by Sub-allot-
ments 13 and 14, 244 links; towards the South-
west by Sub-allotments 5 and part of 15, 213 links;
and towards the North-west by a road, 244 links.
As a site for a police station.

Land temporarily reserved in the Provincial District
of Otago.
HERCULES ROBINSON, Governor.
WHEREAS by the one hundred and forty-fourth
section of "The Land Act, 1877," it is enacted
that the Governor may from time to time, either by
general or particular description, and whether the
same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale
temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be
then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands
which, in his opinion, are required for any of the pur-
poses in the said section mentioned:
Now, therefore, I, Sir Hercules George Robert
Robinson, the Governor of the Colony of New
Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers
and authorities vested in me by the said Act, do
hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in
the Provincial District of Otago described in the
Schedule hereunder written, for the purpose in the
said Schedule specified.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of
Otago, in the Colony of New Zealand, containing by
admeasurement 5 acres 3 roods 26 perches, more or
less, situate in the Township of Pukerau, and being
Section No. 22, Block V., on the map of the said
township. Bounded towards the North-east by
Sections Nos. 14, 15, 16, and 17 of said block, 911.8
links; towards the East by Pukerau Street, 600
links; towards the South by Section 26 of said block,
905.5 links; and towards the West by Section 21 of
said block, 706.9 links: be all the aforesaid linkages
more or less. As a site for a school.

towards the South by a road, 1580 links; towards
the West by Suburban Section No. 9, 1335 links;
and towards the North by Crown lands, 653 links:
as the same is delineated on the plan of the Town-
ship of Tarawera, deposited in the Survey Office,
Napier. For telegraph purposes.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this eleventh day of February,
one thousand eight hundred and eighty.

Changing the Purpose of a Portion of a Reserve.
HERCULES ROBINSON, Governor.
WHEREAS by "The Public Reserves Act Amend-
ment Act, 1878," it is, amongst other things,
enacted that the Governor may declare his intention
to make, change, exchange, or alter the dedication of
any public reserve now or hereafter vested in Her
Majesty or the Governor for any of the purposes
named in Part II. of the Schedule to the said Act,
whether the same be granted or not; and, in the case
of any reserves made under the authority of section
one hundred and forty-four of "The Land Act,
1877," if it shall, in the opinion of the Governor, be
expedient to change the purpose of such reserves or
any part thereof from the purpose or presumed
purpose for which it was set apart to any other pur-
pose, or if it shall, in the opinion of the Governor,
be expedient to exchange any of the land comprised
in such reserve for other land of equal value, to be
dedicated to one or more purposes named in the said
Part II., the Governor may, by notice in the Gazette,
declare his intention to make such change, exchange,
or dedication, as the case may be, and in such notice
declare the manner and terms in which the same is
intended to be so made:
Now, therefore, I, Sir Hercules George Robert
Robinson, the Governor of the Colony of New Zea-
land, do hereby, in exercise and pursuance of the
powers and authorities vested in me by "The Public
Reserves Act Amendment Act, 1878," aforesaid,
change the specific purpose of the reserve described
in the first column of the said Schedule hereto to the
specific purpose set opposite such description in the
third column of the said Schedule, and such land
