TAKAKA TRAMWAY.

THE Takaka Road Board intends applying to the
Governor in Council for an order authorizing
the construction of a tramway at Takaka.
The proposed tramway is 8 miles 25 chains long, and
is to be constructed of iron rails laid upon wooden
sleepers, from the Waitapu Wharf to the cross road
between East Takaka Church and the Takaka River.
The gauge of the line is to be 2 feet 6 inches, and
the traffic to be worked by locomotive steam-engines.
The line goes through the Village or Township of
Waitapu, but no other township or city, and from
thence up the valley of the Takaka River, through part
of the district called Takaka.
The times and places at which the deposit under
Part II., Third Schedule, of "The Tramways Act,
1872," will be made are, the 20th December, 1880;
and at the Supreme Court Office, Nelson; the
Courthouse, Takaka; and the office of the Hon. the
Minister for Public Works, Wellington.
Printed copies of the draft order, when deposited,
and of the order, when made, will be obtained at the
Courthouse, Takaka.

Deaths, and Marriages for the District of Inver-
cargill, Province of Otago, New Zealand.

I, JOHN ALLAN MOFFAT, Licentiate of the Faculty
of Physicians and Surgeons, Glasgow, also
Licentiate in Midwifery, now residing in Invercargill,
do hereby give notice that I intend to apply to you,
on the 12th day of December, 1880, to have my name
placed on the Register of Medical Practitioners in
the Colony of New Zealand; and I have deposited my
registration papers for Britain, along with this, in
your office for public inspection, in terms of "The
Medical Practitioners Act, 1869."

Dublin, M.R.C.S. Eng., Lic. Midwif. Rotundo
Lying-in Hospital, Dublin, M.D. McGill University,
Ontario, Surgeon Armed Constabulary Force, New
Zealand, late Surgeon-Major 101st Royal Bengal
Fusileers, hereby give notice that I have lodged my
diplomas, &c., with the Registrar of Births, Deaths,
and Marriages, New Plymouth; and that I intend to
apply to have my name placed on the Register of
Medical Practitioners in the Colony of New Zealand
on the 15th day of December, 1880.
