WRECK OF THE STEAMSHIP "LADY DARLING."
MASTERS of vessels are hereby cautioned against
passing over the wreck of the steamship "Lady
Darling," which lies sunk, with masts standing, in
15 fathoms of water, S. by W. W. four miles from
the temporary light on Montague Island, and E. S.
two and three-quarter miles from Cape Dromedary.

TENDERS FOR MANUFACTURE OF PORTLAND
CEMENT.

Wellington, 10th November, 1880.

WRITTEN tenders will be received at this office
up to noon on the 31st March, 1881, from per-
sons who are willing to contract for the supply and
delivery of One Hundred Tons of Portland Cement.
The cement to be manufactured in the Colony of
New Zealand, and to be delivered at any of the
under-mentioned places, viz., Auckland, Wellington,
Christchurch, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Port Chalmers,
or Invercargill. Tenders to be addressed to the
Minister for Public Works, and to be marked outside
"Tender for Supply of 100 Tons of Portland Cement."
Specifications and conditions may be seen at the
Public Works Offices, Auckland, Wellington, Christ-
church, Dunedin, and Invercargill. The lowest or
any tender will not necessarily be accepted.

Notice.—Applications for Appointments as Licensed
Interpreters.

Wellington, 9th December, 1880.

ALL persons who desire to obtain licenses as
Interpreters under "The Native Land Court
Act, 1880," are requested to forward their applica-
tions to the Chief Judge of the Native Land Court,
in Auckland. Such applications should be accom-
panied, in every case, by certificates of good character
and general fitness from the Resident Magistrate of
the district in which the applicants reside. The
competency of applicants will be determined by
examination or otherwise, as may be thought fit, on
receipt of the applications.

Advertisement of Cancelling under "The Friendly
Societies Act, 1877."

Wellington, 8th December, 1880.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Registrar of
Friendly Societies has, pursuant to section 11
of "The Friendly Societies Act, 1877," by writing
under his hand dated the 8th day of December, 1880,
cancelled the registry of the Court Lord Clyde, No.
5653, branch of the Wellington District Ancient
Order of Foresters [Register No. 144 (3)], held at
Te Wairoa, Hawke's Bay, as the District Secretary
has notified that the said Court has ceased to exist
as a branch of the said district. The branch, subject
to the right of appeal given by the said Act, ceases
to enjoy the privileges of a registered branch, but

without prejudice to any liability incurred by the
branch, which may be enforced against it as if such
cancelling had not taken place.

One-fourth of the purchase-money to be paid on
the day of application, the balance within one month.
NOTE.—The land is situate ten miles from Feilding,
and eight miles from Halcombe, and is connected
thereto by good roads. Each section is accessible, the
timber on the road-lines within the blocks having
been felled, and the roadway cleared. The soil is
good all over, level and undulating, some portion
hilly, covered with forest, mixed quality. Maps can
be had on application.
