cations will be heard at the several times appointed
or to be appointed by the Native Land Court for the
investigation of the same, as set forth in the said
Schedule: And, further, that all land which, on any
investigation, is declared by any order of the said
Court to be the property of Her Majesty, will, from
the date of such order, be deemed to be absolutely
vested in Her Majesty, her heirs and successors, for
such estate or interest (if any) as in the said order
is declared; and any land in respect of which any such
application as aforesaid is heard and determined, and
which is not declared by any such order to be the
property of or to have been acquired by or on behalf
of Her Majesty, will, from the date of such order,
cease to be affected by any notification published
under the provisions of "The Government Native
Land Purchases Act, 1877," which notification in
respect of such land will cease and be void, and the
said land will be open for sale to the public, as far
as authorized by Acts of the General Assembly
relating to Native lands.

TENDERS FOR MANUFACTURE OF PORTLAND
CEMENT.
Public Works Office,
Wellington, 10th November, 1880.
WRITTEN tenders will be received at this office
up to noon on the 31st March, 1881, from per-
sons who are willing to contract for the supply and
delivery of One Hundred Tons of Portland Cement.
The cement to be manufactured in the Colony of
New Zealand, and to be delivered at any of the
under-mentioned places, viz., Auckland, Wellington,
Christchurch, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Port Chalmers,
or Invercargill. Tenders to be addressed to the
Minister for Public Works, and to be marked outside
"Tender for Supply of 100 Tons of Portland Cement."
Specifications and conditions may be seen at the
Public Works Offices, Auckland, Wellington, Christ-
church, Dunedin, and Invercargill. The lowest or
any tender will not necessarily be accepted.

Notice before Cancelling of Registry.
"FRIENDLY SOCIETIES ACT, 1877."
Name of society: Central Volunteer Fire Brigade.
Register No. 66.
NOTICE is hereby given to the above-mentioned
society that it is the intention of the Registrar
to proceed, on the 18th January, 1881, to cancel the
registry of the society, unless cause be shown to the
contrary in the meantime.
The ground of such proposed cancelling is that
the society has ceased to exist. The Registrar re-
ceived information to this effect from Mr. W. Austin,
the former Secretary of the society, on the 12th July,
1880, and from the Town Clerk, Wellington, on the
8th November, 1880.

Notification of Vacancy of Seat in the House of
Representatives for the Electoral District of the
Suburbs of Nelson.
IN compliance with the provisions of the thirteenth
section of "The Regulation of Elections Act,
1870," I hereby notify that Andrew James Richmond,
Esquire, a Member of the House of Representatives
for the Electoral District of the Suburbs of Nelson,
died on the 15th day of November, 1880," and that
the seat in the House of Representatives for the
said electoral district is vacant by reason of such
death.
