NOTICE is hereby given that the several parcels
of land hereinafter described will be brought
under the provisions of "The Land Transfer Act,
1870," unless caveat be lodged forbidding the same
within one month after the date of the Gazette con-
taining this notice.

  1. SAMUEL HAMMOND.-1 rood 2 perches,
    part of Rural Section 730, Timaru District. Occu-
    pied by Applicant.

  2. ALEXANDER HENRY. --30 acres, Rural
    Section 13675, Oxford District. Occupied by Appli-
    cant.

  3. ALEXANDER HENRY. -60 acres 3 roods
    30 perches, Rural Section 4402, and parts of Rural
    Sections 3736 and 6539, Oxford District. Occupied
    by Applicant.

  4. WILLIAM HUNSLEY.-8 perches, part
    of Section 1052, Christchurch City. Occupied by

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT A WATER-

RACE.

To the Mining Registrar at Roxburgh of the Dun-
stan Mining District, and all other persons whom
it may concern.

TAKE notice that it is intended to construct a
Water-race and divert water for mining pur-
poses, commencing at a point about 250 yards above
the crossing at Gorge Creek, and terminating at
Moa Flat, at the junction of Benger Burn Creek
and Clutha River. The length of such race is five
miles or thereabouts, and its intended course is along
an old race running through private lands as follows,
namely: Sections 6, 5, and pre-emptive right, Block
XIV., Benger District; Sections 20, 17, 18, 23, 24,
25, 37, 13, 14, 6, 4, 8, 33, 34, 35, and 36, Block I.,
Benger District; thence through the public domain
and on Crown lands to point of termination.

The mean depth and breadth of such race is 18
inches by 3 feet, and it is proposed to divert four
Government-heads of water.

Dated this 20th day of January, 1880.

Warden's Office at Roxburgh within thirty days
from the date hereof.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership
between JOHN SCOTT, of Hakateramea, Farmer,
and ourselves, as Farmers, has been dissolved, and
that the said John Scott has no authority to deal with
the crop growing on our land at Hakateramea, or on
Teschemaker's at the Makikihi, or any of the horses,
cattle, and stock, or other property used on the land
aforesaid.
