Road District as is included within the South Wai-
makariri District, as defined by a Proclamation of
the Superintendent of Canterbury, dated the 30th
January, 1869.
RICCARTON SUB-DISTRICT.
Comprising the present Riccarton Road District,
and so much of the Templeton Road District and the
Courtenay Road District respectively as is included
within the South Waimakariri District, before men-
tioned.
LINCOLN SUB-DISTRICT.
Comprising the present Spreydon Road District,
and so much of the Lincoln Road District, the Springs
Road District, the Little River Road District, and
the Halswell Road District respectively as is in-
cluded within the South Waimakariri District, before
mentioned.
Given under the hand of His Excellency James
Prendergast, Esquire, Chief Justice, the
Administrator of the Government of Her
Majesty's Colony of New Zealand; and
issued under the Seal of the said Colony,
at the Government House, at Wellington,
this third day of November, in the year
of our Lord one thousand eight hundred

thirtieth day of October, 1880.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE
GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL.
IN exercise and pursuance of the powers vested in
him by "The Land Transfer Act 1870 Amend-
ment Act, 1880," His Excellency the Administrator
of the Government, with the advice and consent of
the Executive Council of the colony, doth hereby
order that there shall be paid to the several persons,
at the times and in respect of the several matters
and things specified in the first column of the
Schedule hereto, the fees specified in the second
column of the said Schedule: Provided that, in
assessing the fees payable in respect of certificates
of title chargeable under the said Schedule, allowance
shall be made for grant fees prepaid under the pro-

"The Highways Act, 1871," brought into Operation
within the Wanstead Highway District, County of
Waipawa.

WHEREAS by an Act of the Provincial Council
of Hawke's Bay intituled "The Highways
Act, 1871," it is, amongst other things, enacted that
the Superintendent may, from time to time, on the
requisition of five voters, by notification in the Pro-
vincial Government Gazette, bring that Act into
operation in any district, and thereupon, but not
previously, that Act shall come into and remain in
full operation therein; and in such notification the
day, hour, and place of meeting for the first meeting
of ratepayers for such district shall be appointed:
And whereas, under the provisions of the said Act, a
portion of the Provincial District of Hawke's Bay
has been created a highway district by the name of
the Wanstead Highway District: And whereas
the powers vested in the Superintendent by the said
Act are now, by "The Abolition of Provinces Act,
1875," vested in the Governor: And whereas His
Excellency the Administrator of the Government of
the Colony of New Zealand has received a requisition
signed by five voters of the Wanstead District, in
the Provincial District of Hawke's Bay, requesting
him to bring the said Act into operation in the said
Wanstead District:
Now, therefore, I, James Prendergast, the Admin-
istrator of the Government of the Colony of New
Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of every power
and authority enabling me in that behalf, do, by this
notification, bring "The Highways Act, 1871," into
operation within the Wanstead Highway District,
and do declare that the first meeting of ratepayers
under the said Act shall be held at the Wanstead
Hotel, Wanstead, on the twentieth day of November,
one thousand eight hundred and eighty, at two
o'clock in the afternoon.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Administrator of the Government, this
twenty-eighth day of October, one thou-
sand eight hundred and eighty.
