Land taken for Road in the Town of Dargaville,
Kaihu Survey District, Hobson County.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule
hereto is required to be taken under "The
Public Works Act, 1876," and "The Public Works
Act 1876 Amendment Act, 1878," for a certain work,
to wit, the construction of a road in the Town of
Dargaville, Kaihu Survey District, County of Hob-
son:
And whereas the Hobson County Council has laid
before the Administrator of the Government the
memorial and map mentioned in and signed and
certified as required by the said Acts:
Now, therefore, I, James Prendergast, the Admin-
istrator of the Government of the Colony of New
Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said colony, in exercise and
pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested
by sections twenty-one, twenty-two, twenty-three,
twenty-four, and twenty-five of "The Public Works
Act, 1876," and by section twenty-eight of "The
Public Works Act 1876 Amendment Act, 1878," and
of any other power and authority enabling me in that
behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land
described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for
the purposes of a road; and that, from and after
the fourth day of November, one thousand eight
hundred and eighty, the land so described shall become
absolutely vested in fee-simple in Her Majesty, dis-
charged from all mortgages, charges, claims, estates,
and interests of what kind soever, for use as a road.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that piece or parcel of land containing by
admeasurement 1 rood 12 perches, more or less,
being portion of the Tunatahi Block, No. 1844, com-
mencing at the northernmost corner of Allotment
No. 1. Bounded-North-westerly by a line, 137
links; North-easterly by a line, 260 links; South-
easterly by the Wairoa River, 136 links; South-
westerly by a line to commencing point, 220 links.
All that piece or parcel of land containing by ad-
measurement 4 acres 1 rood 19 perches, more or less,
being portion of the Tunatahi Block, No. 1844, com-
mencing at a point distant from the southernmost
corner of Allotment No. 201, 200 links. Bounded-
Westerly by a line, 80 links; generally South-easterly
by the Kaihu Creek, the Wairoa River, and by lines,
1380, 75, 1293, 100, and 1640 links respectively;
North-easterly by a line, 104 links; generally North-
westerly by lines to commencing point, 1630, 100,
1342, 150, 250, and 866 links respectively.
All that piece or parcel of land containing by ad-
measurement 5 acres and 30 perches, more or less,
being portion of the Tunatahi Block, No. 1844, com-
mencing at the easternmost corner of Allotment No.
80. Bounded-Generally South-westerly by lines,
2945 and 965 links respectively; Northerly by a line,
180 links; generally North-easterly by lines, 830 and
2900 links respectively; South-easterly by a line to
commencing point, 137 links: the above parcels of
land being situate in the Kaihu Survey District, Town
of Dargaville, Provincial District of Auckland, and
are more particularly delineated upon the plan hereto
attached and coloured red.

Prendergast, Esquire, Chief Justice, the
Administrator of the Government of Her
Majesty's Colony of New Zealand; and
issued under the Seal of the said Colony,
at the Government House, at Wellington,
this twenty-sixth day of October, in the
year of our Lord one thousand eight
hundred and eighty.
