any part thereof from the purpose or presumed pur-
pose for which it was set apart to any other purpose,
or if it shall, in the opinion of the Governor, be
expedient to exchange any of the land comprised in
such reserve for other land of equal value, to be
dedicated to one or more purposes named in the said
Part II., the Governor may, by notice in the Gazette,
declare his intention to make such change, exchange,
or dedication, as the case may be, and in such notice
declare the manner and terms in which the same is
intended to be so made:
Now, therefore, I, Sir Hercules George Robert
Robinson, the Governor of the Colony of New
Zealand, do hereby, in exercise and pursuance of the
powers and authorities vested in me by "The Public
Reserves Act Amendment Act, 1878," aforesaid,
change the specific purpose of the reserve described
in the first column of the said Schedule hereto to the
specific purpose set opposite such description in the
third column of the said Schedule, and such land
shall henceforth be deemed to be reserved and set
apart for such last-mentioned specific purpose, and
no other.

same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale
temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be
then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands
which, in his opinion, are required for any of the
purposes in the said section mentioned:
Now, therefore, I, Sir Hercules George Robert
Robinson, the Governor of the Colony of New Zea-
land, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and
authorities vested in me by the said Act, do hereby
temporarily reserve from sale the lands in the Pro-
vincial District of Otago described in the Schedule
hereunder written, for the purposes in the said
Schedule specified.

As a site for Supreme Court. | All that piece or parcel of land in the Southland division of the Provincial District of Otago, being part of Supreme Court Reserve, Town of Invercargill, containing by admeasurement three (3) roods nineteen (19) perches, more or less, and bounded as follows: On the North by Public Gardens Reserve, a distance of two hundred and ninety (290) links; on the East by Leven Street, a distance of three hundred (300) links; on the South by Spey Street, a distance of two hundred and ninety (290) links; and on the West by other part of Supreme Court Reserve, 300 links. | For a drill-\nshed. |

Land temporarily reserved in the Provincial District
of Otago.
HERCULES ROBINSON, Governor.
HEREAS by the one hundred and forty-fourth
section of "The Land Act, 1877," it is enacted
that the Governor may from time to time, either by
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Provincial District of Otago,
containing by admeasurement 18.7 perches, more or
less, situate in the Town of Clyde, being Sections
Nos. respectively 38 and 39, Block XI., on the map
of the said town. Bounded towards the North-east
by Hartlepool Street, 69.4 links; towards the South-
east by Section No. 37, 171.1 links; towards the
South-west by Sunderland Street, 69.5 links; and
towards the North-west by Section No. 48, 168.7 links.
Also all that area in the said provincial district,
containing by admeasurement 10.8 perches, more or
less, situate in the said Town of Clyde, being Section
No. 48, Block XI., on the map of the said town.
Bounded towards the North-east by Hartlepool Street,
43.6 links; towards the South-east by Section No. 39,
168.7 links; towards the South-west by Sunderland
Street, 36 links, and by Section No. 40, 7 links;
towards the North-west by Sections Nos. 40, 69 links,
and 3 and 4, 100 links: as the same are delineated
on the maps in the Survey Office, Dunedin. As sites
for county or other local public buildings.
Also all that area in the Provincial District of
Otago, containing by admeasurement 27 acres 2 roods
32 perches, more or less, situate in the Town of
Clyde, being Sections Nos. respectively 1 to 33 in-
clusive, Block IV.; 1 to 22 inclusive, Block V.; 1 to
22 inclusive, Block VI.; and 1 to 33 inclusive, Block
VII., on the map of the said town. Bounded
towards the North-east by Sunderland Street, 1670.4
links and 1100 links, also by Blyth Street, 1670.4
links; towards the South-east by Flamborough Head
Street 500 links and 500 links, and by Bidlington
Street 500 links and 500 links; towards the South-
west by Blyth Street, 1670.4 links and 1100 links;
again towards the South-west by Stockton Street,
1670.4 links and 1100 links; and towards the North-
west by Whitby Street, 500 links and 500 links, also
by Flamborough Head Street, 500 links and 500
links: as the same is delineated on the plan of the
said town in the Survey Office, Dunedin. For the
purposes of recreation.
And also all that area in the Provincial District of
Otago, containing by admeasurement 17.7 perches,
more or less, situate in the Town of Clyde, being
Section No. 4, Block XI., on the map of the said
Town. Bounded towards the North-east by Section
No. 3, 222.1 links; towards the South-east by Section
No. 48, 50 links; towards the South-west by Sections
Nos. respectively 40, 41, 42, 43, 44, 45, and 46, Block
XI., 222.1 links; and towards the North-west by
Cheviot Street, 50 links: as the same is delineated
on the maps of the Survey Office, Dunedin. For a
public right-of-way.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this fourth day of September,
one thousand eight hundred and seventy-
nine.
