by Lot 37, 550 links; on the South-west by Lot 35,
182 links; and on the North-west by Clyde Street,
550 links. As a site for a public pound.

WHEREAS by the one hundred and forty-fourth
section of "The Land Act, 1877," it is enacted
that the Governor may from time to time, either by
general or particular description, and whether the
same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale
temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be
then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands
which in his opinion are required for any of the pur-
poses in the said section mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, Sir Hercules George Robert
Robinson, the Governor of the Colony of New
Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers
and authorities vested in me by the said Act, do
hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in the
Provincial District of Otago described in the
Schedule hereunder written, for the purpose in the
said Schedule specified.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Provincial District of Otago,
containing by admeasurement twenty-one (21) acres
three (3) roods and thirty-eight (38) perches, more or
less, situate in the Town of Arrowtown, being Section
No. 11, Block XIX., on the map of the said town-
ship: Commencing at a point on the western
boundary of the said town, on the north side of
Essex Street, and proceeding thence due north, two
thousand five hundred and forty-eight and five-tenths
(2548.5) links, to Middlesex Street; thence due east
along the south side of Middlesex Street, one thou-
sand one hundred and sixty-one (1161) links, to
Surrey Street; thence due south along the west side
of Surrey Street, one hundred and ninety-five (195)
links; thence due west along the northern boundaries
of Sections 3 and 4, Block XXIII., and across a road
line, four hundred and forty-nine (449) links; thence
due south along the western side of Durham Street,
two hundred and seventy-six and four-tenths (276.4)
links; thence in a south-westerly direction along a
road line, bearing 69° 1', three hundred (300) links;
thence in a south-easterly direction, on a bearing
159° 1', along the south-west boundaries of Ceme-
tery Reserve, and Section 10, Block XIX., Muni-
cipal Reserve, and across two street lines, one
thousand two hundred and thirty-five (1235) links;
thence in a north-easterly direction along the south-
east boundary of Section 10, Block XIX. aforesaid,
on a bearing 50° 53', two hundred and seventy-three
(273) links; thence due south along the western
boundary of Sections 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9, Block
XIX., eight hundred and ninety-seven and a half
(897½) links, to Essex Street; thence due west along
Essex Street to the western boundary of the town-
ship, one thousand one hundred and ten and five-
tenths (1110.5) links, to the starting point. For the
purpose of tree-planting.

North by a street, 762 links; towards the East by a
street, 778 links; towards the South by a street, 762
links; towards the West by a street, 810 links: be
all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For a site
and grounds for schools.

one thousand eight hundred and seventy-
